The mic was in the window. The insects of the night are the nearest sound. . . In the distance you can hear a dog barking, someone playing a djembe and fireworks.
Forest ambiance with various bird calls, insects in the backgroung and flying around the microphones, occasional passers-by and distant airplanes. Recorded in the natural park of halle (hallerbos) in belgium. 120 degrees stereo (sony pcm d100).
A particular insect, maybe a grasshopper doing this sound which i use as background atoms instead of the typical cricket. Recorded stereo on zoom h4 on board mics, i edited it to remove some of the hiss.
This is a night field-recording of the frogs and insects in a pond on the grounds of the grove studio, somersby, nsw. The recording was made on a tascam dr-44wl @ 24bit 48khz and then the distance freeway and other noise was attempted to be removed using rx spectral de-noise. The files have then been normalised. Enjoy!.
