Water rolling down a creek, over rocks and around a fallen tree, in stereo, with the water sounds moving from one ear to the other ear. We got in the van and drove down a rural road in arkansas, united states. On the side of that road, we found whittington creek. We continued and found where this creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. This sound is used in the beginning of a 7-minute video of our adventure:http://elingreso. A recording of strong spring wind gusts through a stand of mature, tall white pines in a midwest forest. I used my handy zoom h4n recorder, and i used my rode nt2 shotgun microphone, cable-tied to a sapling. No kidding, i forgot my sturdy tripod, so i improvised using some bungee cords that i carry with me, tied the shotgun to a sapling and this is what i recorded.

I was messing around with some voice effects and somehow ended up with this growl. It sounds like a noise a dinosaur or dragon would make. Or like a clicker from "the last of us. "also, if you slow it down, it sounds like wood creaking. Let me know if it's useful for you, hope it makes for some good sound design with whatever you're doing. I'm excited to hear what you do with this sound if you do use it.
