It's a light spinning top that you have to magnet to its launcher. It must then be rotated around the base of the launcher before ejecting it. When it spin, it lights up. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

I created this shine sound effect after searching and searching for something like it, but obviously to no avail. So, i recreated it myself. Feel free to use the sound in your videos. Fluorescent tube light starts up in my office. Done with rode podcaster edited with adobe soundbooth on january 2012.

I recorded a transformer with a guitar pickup then broadcasted it from a speaker, then re-recorded this sound, waving my mic at the speaker (like a light sabre). Add a bit of chorus and voila, it's that light sabre sound. Could be a bit more beefy, you can add some sub or something, anyhows, hope some of yous get some use out of it anyways innit???!.
