A foggy july morning. The recorder was placed on a rock about 30cm from the edge of the water which was moving very slowly. The waves were really shallow and soft. You can hear uk songbirds in the wooded area behind the recorder and seabirds in front of it. Occasionally you can hear a foghorn in the distance. Olympus ls-5, int mics, deadcat, 35hz hp @6db/oct, 5:30am.

Recorded on the san francisco side of alcatraz island, 08/25/2015. Recorder was placed on the railing on the back side of the yard above the staircase. A clear day, with plenty of water birds and gulls. Some tourists speaking various languages throughout. . . Some asking about the 'microphone'. This recording also catches the sf noon siren and a sea plane flying toward the end. My windjammer wasn't quite enough for the wind, so there's some rumble, but it can be cleaned up. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics. Free to use, but let me know where it ends up!.

Calm ocean breeze simulation, created using the zoom h1. Sound was created using water faucet, and carpet to catch ambient close sounds to create this effect. Added pop compression filter and verb. Recording from the balcony of my air bnb in venice, italy. You can hear doors opening, people walking, dogs barking, seagulls, a plane goes by, a person with a limp walks by, speech in italian and other ambient sounds through a reverberant street. There are no cars to pollute the soundscape.

Sorta old school, retro, vintage vibe retro rock with maybe a dash of neil young and grunge. Just some chords and vibrato.

The recording was made from the rear port side of the upper deck (where people are supposed to be quiet, but clearly don't obey the rules). Although the ambience is the in the public domain, the docking announcement over the pa system may need to be licensed through the dot. I couldn't find any good giant wings flapping here, so i made my own and am now sharing them so nobody else has to! screw paying for sounds! made from a combination of pizza box lids, sheets, and a bit of sound design. You don't even have to credit me because i mean. . . Who even does that? and why? who's gonna track down a foley artist from the credits of a show for a random sound? just check out the sonic realms podcast if you like audiodramas and role playing games; there's nothing else like it.
