This was recorded in my kitchen next to a railway, late at night when there was maintenance going on on the line. A heavy unit called a tamper went past, tamping down the ballast (stones) that go under the tracks. Lots of sub-bass as the whole building gets vibrated and at -04:29 a balanced teapot lid puts itself onto the teapot. Zoom h4n, 24/48 wav exported to flac in audacity.

I've been recording some sounds for a an upcoming project which led me to recording the underside of the lid of a salad spinner and dangling a small plastic tab on it as it spun. It wasn't my intention but it sounds a bit like an old film projector. You can get some interesting results with this clip by messing a bit with the eq which is what i'll be doing for the finished project. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Typing (real words!) on a kinesis advantage keyboard with cherry mx brown mechanical switches. Recorded at my desk with rode procaster, triton fethead, focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).

A recording i made when my wife was updating her cash balance printed recordings at a national bank. This is the only one that still uses printed stuff in a world of apps and e-banking. The sound contains useful mechanical noises and a vintage printer.

My lights are actually connected into the wall with a switch that i can turn on/off with a seperate controller, and this switch makes this very peculiar sound when it switches on and off. I felt like it was a cool sound actually and would be great for other people to use as well in their projects!. Feel free to use whenever/however you want. G413 typing sounds. Not particularly noisy. Pretty generic typing sound for universal purposes. Lately everyone's been hyped over deep thoccs, but i find those pretty unusable for sfx in videos etc. , cuz they're just not the typical typing sound.
