I wanted to make a sound effect for a game i'm developing, and so i recorded a 100-mm artillery cannon at camp williams (utah national guard), then modified the sounds using audacity. The recording was done on an olympus digital recorder in the mid-2000s (first decade). It sounded a little to me like the tribute cannon from hunger games (the sound effect that signals the deaths of the tributes), thus the name.

Slowly rising and fading synthetic bomber sound.

Made in ableton live. Layered together out of various explosions sounds and a kick drum. One sound layer ran through a guitar amp for distortion. Low-fi-ish.

I went for a more realistic gun sound without the hollywood subbass and a lot cleaner than my previous work. Made in ableton live, i just layered an ak47, an m16, an enfield rifle and an acoustic kick drum together with eq and used parallel compression to gel them together. Transient designers were used on the layers to make them snap harder. A bolt slide forward sample and a bolt slide back sample were added to give some mechanical feels to the gunshot. Enjoy.

As with my other sounds, i prefer quality over quantity. Here is another sound file that i developed over a couple of days. Similar to ss's pulse cannons, this one features a military battle featuring tanks, helicopters, jets, and strafing runs using high caliber chainguns. A lot of explosions and rocket fire is heard as well, and the audio is a bit loud. Sounds edited in audacity, some sounds recorded irl using my dslr camera system, the mixing was done using filmora9. The freesound files used is listed in the sound sources, rest is what i used online and irl. I did this out of boredom while playing shooter games, since i'm working with 3d modeling i'm getting back into making my own sounds for my games.
