Lyrebird is a ground dwelling bird that lives in the australian bush and is very clever at mimicking sounds. This particular bird happens to sound like a science fiction movie! i removed much of the background noise, and lightly processed it with a phase effect. At the end i pitched certain sounds down for a more alien, dinosaur sound. The original sound was recorded on a smart phone.

I got inspired by the alien films and alien isolation, so i decided to design some alien xenomorph sounds. The last breath of a creature, maybe a dragon, whatever floats your boat. I'm a game developer, but i also like creating sfx, and other cool stuff. So i was feeling like creating a small mmo for fun, but thought to myself;how on earth am i going to make all those sounds?so i searched a bit on the net for possible cool sfx techniques, and later on decided to just experiment with audacity myself. For this sound i recorded my own voice two times (i can make some weird sounds),and edited them in audacity. The result came out as some kind of dragon, and i was pretty pleased with it being my first organic voice. Use for whatever you like, a credit and a rate would be appreciated.

They are referred to as different things but overall a creepy, evil, raspy, breathy type screeching sound. I created this with a type of practiced scream on a blue yeti usb condenser microphone. I recorded in audacity and added some reverb, fade in, and fade out. It was originally for a video game voice over audition. I also have the original with no fx if needed. My example/inspiration were the creatures in lord of the rings, fellowship of the ring. They are also called the fell riders and the black wings (when they ride the fell beasts), as well as the shadows, the servants of sauron, and the nine servants of the lord of the rings. When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!i then played around with it in audacity and slowed it down -86% which makes me sound like a roaring lion. So i thought i'd upload this slowed down version too!.

A shorter, more polished version of my previous sound "alien world" (https://freesound. Org/people/patrick_corra/sounds/540045/). This ambience is a bit more earth-like compared to its predecessor, though any sound used here is either created from scratch or recorded: i used my own voice for the "bird" sounds and a crickets chirping recording for some background noise. Aside from myself and the crickets, no other animal was recorded to create this sound, so i think it's fair to define it as "alien". Inspired by the sounds heard in black mesa's version of xen, i decided to try creating a similar soundscape.
