I created this thunderstorm on logic from some of my recordings.

Recording of a nighttime ambiance, one frog croaking. Wind in the leaves and distant traffic can be heard. Recorded with h2n zoom recorder.

Thunderstorm, late night with rain falling on a quiet urban neighborhood side street of a large u. S. City. 4:30. The rain decreases over the recording. Good bits of distant thunder. Distant sirens in the last half of the recording. Some distant traffic noise, and a couple of cars passing close. I didn't notice until afterwards that i had the recorder set in mp3 format. Given another chance i'd redo as a 48/24 wav, but it doesn't rain all that often here, and the quality on this recording is still very good, 192kbps. Zoom h4n - mp3 - 44. 1/16.

Krasnodar krai is located in the southwestern part of the north caucasus and borders with rostov oblast in the northeast, stavropol krai and karachay-cherkessia in the east, and with the abkhazia region (internationally recognized as part of georgia) in the south. The republic of adygea is completely encircled by the krai territory. The krai's taman peninsula is situated between the sea of azov in the north and the black sea in the south. In the west, the kerch strait separates the krai from the contested crimean peninsula, internationally recognised as part of ukraine but under de facto russian control. At its widest extent, the krai stretches for 327 kilometers (203 mi) from north to south and for 360 kilometers (220 mi) from east to west.

One by one, five cars are crossing the soundfield on a straight desert wet road. We can ear them a long time before and after. Motors, air movement and weels on water. Some residual rain drops and faraway rooster after car n°4. France, nov 2022. Recorded with 2 em 172 in ab setuprecorded on zoom f3wave stereo, 24bits 48khz.

The tree toads are finally here, after a long dry spell. The water dropped onto huge norway maple leaves overhead. Don't even ask why i was out there at 2 am.

A short recording of a partial song in a champagne bar. You can hear the piano, and then a singer, as well as the crowd. The bar is on a cruise ship, the norwegian gem, in the fall of 2019.

Note: the high-pitched squeaks are artifacts from freesound's preview and aren't present in the actual recording. 10 minutes of a thunderstorm, recorded september 7th, 2019 from my apartment window in seattle. This is the raw recording straight from my zoom h5. Levels were kept low to minimize the chance of clipping. A few thunder sounds were still too loud, but luckily the h5 has a backup function that recorded an identical track 12 db quieter. I've uploaded that as well, so you can splice the two together to taste. Eventually i'll release a processed version with the two combined, plus compression and eq, but i wanted to upload the source material in case you'd prefer to diy it.

I was out walking my dog late one night when i heard and recorded an amazing mockingbird channeling through a variety of imitations.

Recorded at night in may 2015. This sound was captured near a busy north hollywood, ca blvd on a zoom h6 using the included xy stereo mic. You will hear: traffic, street noise, a buzzing coming from a nearby street lamp, one of those famous la choppers, and a bus.

Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.

This immersive soundscape, full of crickets and katydids was recorded at night time deep in the woods of french creek state park in eastern pennsylvania in late summer early fall.

This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28.
