I'm note sure where or when i recorded this, but it features a number of interesting and useful sounds. It opens with a nice tone, and features various evocative scenes.

It has just turned 12, people all around are shooting off fireworks, including my 12 year old daughter and her pals, whom you can hear on this recording. About a minute into the recording, a rocket is shot off in the near field. Recorded on jan 1st, 2014 at 12:00 am with a zoom h2. These are the front channels, mics set to 90° dispersion.

Frogs, insects and crickets from a close wet crop.

Recorded around midnight in mount saint francis woods in southern indiana on the kentucky border on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Not loopable as the wind picks up over time and is noticeable when you loop back to beginning. Light editing in reaper (eq down some wind sounds, splicing out distant traffic). Individual bullfrog chatter sounds also on profile.

Crickets recorded at night, in my garden, in summer. Recorded with a tascam dr-05. The sound was post-processed with audacity to remove the background noise (it was a stormy weather). In the onset, the listener stands on a windy heath, and hears the air-raid sirens in the distance. Then come the bombers (propeller planes!), supposedly lancasters or so, passing overhead toward their target. . . 24/48 recording of the fire department rescue area near sabino canyon arizona at night. There are some native birds heard chirping along with a cricket and other bugs that start clicking. There is a light breeze that barely rustles the bushes and there is distant traffic noise.
