Recorded around midnight in mount saint francis woods in southern indiana on the kentucky border on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Not loopable as the wind picks up over time and is noticeable when you loop back to beginning. Light editing in reaper (eq down some wind sounds, splicing out distant traffic). Soundscape of an enfolding air raid on a doomed city, period around world war ii, from some distance from the city itself. In the onset, the listener stands on a windy heath, and hears the air-raid sirens in the distance. Then come the bombers (propeller planes!), supposedly lancasters or so, passing overhead toward their target. . . I did this for a tv documentary, however i kept all rights and, as usual, you may use it free of charge and attribution. Enjoy.
