Tonight, about 0:30 gmt+2 while recording in the middle of the woods (only 2 houses around) 2 dogs were harassing some cat. The cat is alive and safe right now (9 hours since recording have passed). Recorder: h1n + windshield.

Heard a barred owl calling in my backyard. Grabbed my zoom h4n with audio-technica at897 shotgun mic and started recording. Did some minor equalization to soften the higher frequencies and roll off the low end. Crickets are chirping in the background, a few other insects make some sounds. Soft droning of a couple planes flying by and vehicles from a highway about a mile away, but do not overpower the barred owl.

Ambience. Mixtures of sounds from a distant rave party about 800 mts away on a valley (more than 1 dj playing at the same time). City night around 4:30am. Some early birds. I woke up to what sounded like cats screaming somewhere in the dark outside under my window, must have been quite the fight.
