01-02-2019 yula in the central space under the dome. It was a surprise. I had only my cellular (xiaomi note 4)with me to record this. The recording started 25 mtr off the group and i walked slowly away from them, enjoying the acoustics.

Riding my mountain bike on gravel trail at baylands nature preserve in palo alto ca. Recorded on my galaxy note 2 cellphone. Edited in cyberlink power director 13. This is actually two separate tracks equalized differently to accentuate the crunch of the gravel, and to minimize wind noise. Output in mono.

A recording of a group of people walking through a brushy field on a late august afternoon in southern illinois. Note the constant insect chorus that is constantly washing over their steps. I made this recording using my handy zoom, h-4n recorder with the built-in internal microphones. Enjoy.

I designed this sound from scratch using a 20 millisecond pop of audio looped and processed heavily using ableton live's sampler instrument. The loop is 2 bars long, but it this sample file i trail off for quite a few seconds sustaining the note to show off the sustain processing on the synth.

Recorded on 26/02/2010 at approx. 8am in wengen (jungfrau region), switzerland. Recorded with a zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode, without a windshield. File has not been modified, only cut short from a longer recording. Note: this is the original wav file of the mp3 posted on freesound.

Holding a metal bell by its tongue, i’m rhytmically shaking it to make this sound. Reminds sleigh bells a bit. Sound of a couple of links joining the tongue to the bell body is prominent. Recorded with redmi note 5 phone, denoised and filtered bogus sub bass in audacity.

This is a mono recording of a psaltery. This was recorded as-found with no tuning or cleaning done to the instrument. It is a series of single tones followed by two note chords. Dissonant and full of texture. It was recorded using an audio-technica at875r microphone at 48khz/24bit.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. This is a single guitar string plucked with a pick directly at the headstock, that means between the tuners and the nut. There the string is very short and tight, resulting in a high, almost piano-like tone. Also, since there is no sound box, the tone is rather quiet. I used this for a sampler and i liked the sound of it. This is the raw recording. If you want to use it in a sampler too, i recommend adding some eq, reverb and maybe some delay. It is not perfectly in tune though, the closest note is a#. You might tweak the tuning a little bit when using it in combination with other tuned instruments. Microphone: akg perception 120post-processing: none.
