This is part of a set of samples demonstrating the capabilities of the diy version of the hexinverter mutant clap module (eurorack/modular synth). Of particular note is the noise bleed present in some hexinverter diy products as discussed on the muffwiggler forum. Except where noted as "with vca," all samples are recorded without added effects or processing. "with vca" samples have been tidied up with an envelope modulated vca. One may choose to see the bleed as a feature or flaw. . .

Series of car/truck/bus passes recorded on the side of a night time city street. At :21 two guys on bikes with a boombox pass - one of the weirdest sounding things i've recorded. Ambisonic b-format recording recorded with the coresound tetramic in pittsburgh, pa. *note: you will need to decode this b-format ambisonic file with a plug-in such as the (free)surroundzone2 which allows you to decode the file to a surround, stereo, or mono format. Also note that these are fuma bformat files (and opposed to ambix bformat).

This is a very short phrase for a hindustani raag that i recorded for my audio signal processing class. The notes are far from perfect but they should be the equivalents of f3 f# g# a# f# f.

Used dsk music box, processed with some lofi vst fx and reverb. The midi sequence was aided by randomization of notes. #randomization #musicbox #eerie.

On the saxophone, using a specific set of fingerings one can "play" two notes at once. This creates a clashing, almost chewbacca-like sound that can be utilized in some specific settings to create a certain effect.

Fluttery filter of two bars of bangra style drum beat. Loops. My notes say this was using a ring mod plug in but it sounds more like a v. Fast phasey trem.

Hps model was used to transform a few notes from a flute. Frequency stretching was used without timbre preservation. Has an old analog cassette/lp vibe. Mono track at 44100 = fs.

Water being poured from a bottle to a plastic mug filling it up. The water is being poured from some height, so you can note that the water is kind of splashing more.

This is a sound i made by placing a low sound effect on lmms continually with another note lower right under it. Then i edited it in audacity with a bassboost, amplify, and fade out.

A gibson sg with custom-59 pickups playing the open a string. Signal was captured using the bridge pickup exclusively. Length of sound capped at 10 secs and fade out effect added in audacity.

A synth line i made for the 127 search ;) i made this one on reason. Used three thor modules, effected each one differently. Gave two a delay of different time panned opposite, and the other a reverb. This is in the key of g. 楽しみます.

This is a very brief sample obtained by opening a zip file with audacity. It sound a bit like a dial-up modem. It seems to work well for melodic solos and playing two or three note chords sounds good, too.

I recorded myself singing a few random notes and combined them, then editing them. They came out to sound like an interesting spooky choir of voices.

It's a repetition of 3 medium notes in an old and unadjusted piano in a tourism house in the camping montseny, near to barcelona. Sound take with compact camera olympus stylus 820.
