Cashell mall is in christchurch, new zealand, it is a retail area in shipping containers, also it is home to the future christchurch showcase, where you can learn all about the future plans, while around you the building continues, hence the ever present noise of construction.

A very mysterious crying in an abandoned town.

The sound of going on the bus, getting off and walking to entrance of a university. 0:01 - 0:15 - opening of bus doors and the beeping sound of the bus card. During the bus ride you will be able to hear the soundscape of inside the bus, the bus itself when stopping you could hear the sound of its brakes, you can also hear sound of vehicles coming from outside, there is also a low rumble sound in the bus and voices of people. 0:40 - the sound of the bus announcer telling the next destination in portuguese, cantonese and putonghua. 1:32 - bus door opens and people walking out and the sounds now is different in outside. On the way to university, you could hear vehicles, people talking, key chains, footsteps and the sound of the gates opening and closing. You will also hear at the someone pressing the button for the elevator. Key sounds: key chain, vehicles, people.

A very loud jackhammer is what i walked out to today from my apartment. Recording also includes my two front doors being opened, to reveal the audio assault.

This is the sound of a car going through an automated carwash. Recorded with a zoom h6 and it's x/y module from the passenger's side.

Recorded with a tascam dr-05x with gain at 75% and positioned by an open window. 10:00 am sunday, clear sky, cold with some ground frost. Background distant traffic noise and helicopter appears about halfway through the recording then some people's voices near the end. I've amplified this recording by around 8db, no other processing applied.

An empty car of the metro of porto, portugal arrives at an aboveground empty station on a january morning in 2022. Recorded with a zoom h1n. This was a no-service subway stop so the doors did not open and there is no passenger noise. The audio travels from one side to the other as the metro passes because of the stereo mics. I've benefited a lot from cc by 0 recordings on freesound--i use them for my bandcamp projects. It would be fun to know what you did with this one.

This is a recording made on an iphone se using the now discontinued sennheiser ambeo vr headset for binaural "3d" recording. This recording has not been processed in any way except for the levels which were normalized. Since it was a cold windy day, i believe i had the mics under a thin hat, which acted as a wind shield. This may have slightly muted the higher frequencies but it shielded the mics from wind noise. I will make some more recordings and share them.

Tram sound recorded in tampere, during the day/afternoon in normal/slightly windy weather conditions. Recorded along the hervantajärvi-pyynikintori axis. Recorded in autumn/early winter using the built in microphone of a oneplus 6 in wav-format. This audio is intended to be used for the the project work of the audio processing course of tampere university.
