My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. The audio from when the coffee starts to pour into my cup is on the left side, so that was pretty cool to listen too on the headphones when i played it back.

A typhoon thunderstorm recorded in a backyard of an apartment complex in xinyi district, taipei city, taiwan, in late august, 2022. Rain can be heard falling on grass, the glass roof over the recording area, and various roof materials in the area such as tin, brick, concrete, and clay tile. Occasionally, there is thunder. Recorded on a zoom h1n with a wind filter, at its 96k 24 bit option, mic sensitivity control wheel set to 6 (out of 10). Due to the length of the recording, this is part 1 of 2.

This is my own kaiju i made last year, i first start with the concepts. And now getting to the part on the sound on what will it sound like, so i watch any behind the scenes on how any kaijus like godzilla sound where made. So i use wooden chairs i found around my house slowly drag it that makes these noises, after every sound recorded, i go with a empty tuna fish can and after washing it, it makes a interesting sound, so i recorded that as well and mix both of those sounds together which makes this. And yes i'm working on a project that base on this kaiju.

Recorded on june 29, 2012 near the exit at webster's department store. This features how the checkout area at websters sounded from june 2012 untill its closing on november 3, 2015. This is part of a pack of 4k sounds recorded over 17 years commemorating my friend's department store which she owned. It showcases how the sounds in the store have changed over the years as the technology of teh store changes. Each recording is done within a week after the cash registers are upgraded. As of the date of this posting, webster's is now closed, and will re-open as a walmart in january of 2016.

Dubstep bass: 110 bpm wobble at 1/16th note, half of the samples as a sine lfo and saw lfo descending. Sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2. Random presets with lfo settings on key parts, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down.

Any thursday, 12:00 am more or less. I was sitting down in a bench, looking to the buildings opposite me, with the road at my back. My handy recorder zoom h4n in my hands. Some people was chatting next to a car and then they got inside and they left (you can hear that on the left channel. Got it? "left" channel :d). You can hear people passing from one channel to another, cars and motorbikes. It was in c/ bravo murillo (madrid, spain). In that part, it is a one way street for vehicles, so all of them go from right to left channel.

Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. The strings are tuned to b, d, g and e, so would work well in the keys of g or e minor. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

In front of my desk in my room is a wood paneled wall with a cubbie. It's about a foot wide, 10 inches from top to bottom and maybe 7 inches deep. I'm just guessing. Around this cubbie is a border of wood. In the bottom right corner under the border i have jammed one end of an elastic string that used to have glitter on it. It's from a christmas box of chocolates my uncle sent me last year. I stand in front of this cubbie whose bottom is at chin height, (i'm only 5ft1in) so my arms are above my head as i pull this string across the cubbie to the border on the left which acts as my only fret. The string is a few inches longer than the cubbie is wide, but when i pull it it gets longer so my hand is 3/4 along it's length as i pull back and forth across the border to tighten and loosen the string. No matter how hard i pull it never pops loose from it's mooring. The recording starts with me standing up from my chair. In the first part until 01:54 i am playing the string at maybe 30° from horizontal. It has a buzzy quality that reminds me of an african folk instrument i can't remember the name of. From 01:33 to 01:54 i'm trying to imitate a korean folk vibrato kind of thing. In the second part until 02:29 i am playing 45 to 60° from horizontal and it sounds like a full-bodied string bass with no buzz. In the last part beginning at 02:34 i am playing about 75° from horizontal across the top border of the cubbie on the left so it sounds buzzy and african again, and i'm just going crazy goofing around with a crazy bluesy rock sort of rhythm. There didn't seem to be any homemade 1-stringed wall-cubbie basses on this site so here is mine, have fun. I don't play it if mom is home because the living room is on the other side of the wall and she can't hear tv. Also my neighbor can probably hear it in the next apartment lol. Recorded with microsoft lifecam 3000.

Quiet urban residential area in tokyo at about 2 am in the late summer (october, i think). You can hear far off traffic, some night insects and a drunk guy who came to close to my hidden mics to take a whiz. Excluding the peeing guy, quiet parts are perfect for looping (for ambient background sounds in video or audio works). The peeing guy might actually be useful, so i didn't cut it out. Faithfully recorded with a stereo mic pair placed at a 90 degree angle. The left-right balance was adjusted and the stereo field was expanded later to fix the lopsided sided flatness of the original recording. Other than that, the recording is unprocessed.

Rough clean-up of the sounds :https://freesound. Org/people/yarmonics/sounds/445956/recorded by http://www. Yarmonics. Com/ https://freesound. Org/people/yarmonics/. I deleted parts with handling noise and normalized the sound. For a quick drag and drop in a video editing project and such. It's not perfect and i may have missed some handling noise hence "rough cleanup". But it's a bit better :)if this will be background noise in a video/music, you'll probably lower the volume and the handling noise will become much less apparent. Don't hesitate to eq out the lows too. Fritton lake, norfolk uk. Enjoy.

Elmo omnigraphic 253af slide projector, similar to a kodak s-av 2000. Turn on, slide change at 10 second intervals, turn off. Recorded on a marantz pmd 661 with a rode nt4, 250 mm above centre rear of projector, angled down at 45º. I needed this sound as part of an audio-visual that mimics a slide show. I chose to record a 10-second change interval (instead of a shorter interval) because that allows me to razor the waveform between changes, and then extend (or reduce) the time between changes. Too short a time interval between slide changes means you'd have to add motor/fan sound between every change.

A summer morning field recording at newport lakes reserve, a former bluestone quarry and rubbish tip in the western melbourne suburb of newport. The area is now a vast suburban park with a native nursery and twin human-made lakes, popular with many species of birds and people. This recording was made using a sony pcm-m10 recorder's built-in omnidirectional stereo microphones. It was taken on january 15 2011 at 8. 30am, on unceded boon wurrung land, part of the eastern kulin nations. Sound of footsteps (hiking boots) in an artificial stone tunnel about 4 to 5 metres in diameter in brezzo di bedero (northern italy). The tunnel is part of the structures of the 'cadorna' defence line, dating back to wwi, and leads to an artillery emplacement in a cave. Sound of footsteps and crunching gravel under the soles, with a slight echo and reverberation from the cave environment. Perfect for creating eerie, natural and industrial backgrounds and first-person vr experiences. Recorded with a zoom h1n held in hand while walking and pointed towards the feet.

It's a part of my pack "sickness". Sounds i recorded while being sick. I got a virus infection resulting in elevated body temperature, lack of strength, cough, running nose and sneezing. Check the title for what is in this particular recording. Recorded with zoom h2 on a mic-stand @ 96khz/24-bit. All the sounds in this pack are raw (unprocessed) they were truncated and converted to flac (both using audacity) but not normalized, with original 24-bit precision - turn them up as you need, denoise if you have to, cut out what you want. Bought an old sony walkman from an antique mall. It was advertised as "radio works, but cassette player does not play. " this was true, and i was surprised at the noises it made when you tried to play tapes, though whether or not you have a tape or not it makes these types of noises when you switch it to the metal/chrome setting with dolby b on. You can add a 60 hertz hum if you touch any of the metal parts, and can somewhat mess the sound by messing with the spindles as they move. I may upload some more samples of this at one point, with cleaner recording of each of the sounds you can create.

I've benefited from freesound in the past so i wanted to give something back. I created this audio sample of the black speech of mordor (a section of the ring poem), as part of a cinematic orchestral lord of the rings piece to add flavour to it and wondered if others might find a use for it in their own projects. The sample does have added reverb but to my ears this is not excessive. The phrase is:-. Ash nazg durbatulûk,ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûkagh burzum-ishi krimpatul. This translates to:-. One ring to to rule them allone ring to find themone ring to bring them alland in the darkness bind them. No attribution required but it would be nice to know if anybody uses it. ;-).

Tail end of a paper-airplane competition as part of #azwud (arizona world usability day) in scottsdale, az. About 100 adults and 3 kids made paper airplanes then flew them in an informal indoor competition. Sounds of the crowd reacting to the different flights as planes flew off in all directions, hitting the ceiling, the floor, the audience. Announcer in the bkgd. Children approaching the 'launchpad' then the crowd reacting to their winning throw. After the kids' throw, the sound of another competitor's plane hitting the ceiling/floor (?) and then his comment "too much thrust. I recorded the last part of my travel to work, the first day after my vacation. Inside the train my recording equipment (soundman digital recorder dr2) generates a lot of digital noise – more than usual. Interesting. Therefore i upload from when the commuter train stops at gothenburg central station and the doors open and i walk away from the station. The digital noise is there all the time but just less audible. In the beginning of the sound file you hear the noise clearly. Don’t buy this little recorder… (it has a sigmatel recording chip. ). In the frequency analysis, and spectral view, i notice peaks at about 800 - 950hz, 7850 - 8350hz and 16100-16450hz. I guess this is part of the digital noise. Tried to eq this away with spectral edit. This did not improve the sound. The noise has a wider spectrum. Tried to download the “latest” firmware at www. Soundman. De. Had to open command prompt and use unzip to extract the files. What?! but the firmware downloader does not detect the “device”. I doubt there is a new firmware anyway. The year for this recording, according to the recorder, is 2002…. The recording starts about 07:50 monday, august 07, 2017. I took 2 seconds from the beginning of this file and used paulstretch. Resulting in a 20second digital noise drone, “dr2 digital noise”,https://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/399075/had a thought that i could use a file like this to cancel out these frequencies from the other file with an inverted digital noise file… but i cant invert frequencies – off course :-d.

This is my first upload: a short walk between the stalls of the vismarkt in groningen, netherlands. Is was a splendid and sunny saturday morning, about 9. 30 am, may 7th 2016. In the first part of the recording, a garbage truck is already cleaning up. Fish crates are being piled up and money is exchanging hands. As the name of the market square suggests, the stalls are filled with fresh north sea and wadden sea fish. But i also passed stalls where cheese, meat and spices were sold. Business was thriving at the time of the recording. The groningen vismarkt is broadly recognized as one of the finest food markets in the country. I used an iphone with a zoom iq5. As said, this is my first recording, so please bear with me. . . I intend to learn.

Theanimal was amidst the riprap at the end of our garden, and beingtormented by two neighbourhood dogs. I shooed the dogs away, but theanimal continued to shriek for some time. I have this in wav format if anyone requires it, but i'm sending the mp3 because the original is 26mb long and i'm on dialup. ===fyi - i saw an animal swimming in the river a few days later, and am 98. 5% certain it was a river otter. =====2007-09-07ok. Here's some more of that young couple next door. For this one, they probably went 15+ minutes. Their libido must be really high for this day/night. From my listening, it seems like they were not doing it in bed the entire time. They must have used other furniture and played around in different positions. From 3:30 or even before that is when they start. Passed 5:00 is when the woman starts to moan loud. 14:55 is when they finish. 16:07 guy says i'm tired. Note that the original audio had more bed and furniture creak noises, almost 30 mins long, and some of their chats cut out. Also note that some of the noises left in on the good parts may not be sex noises. This was edit and shorten with audacity.

A nice ambient recording made on sunday morning may 5th 2013 around 6:30 in the morning in the shawnee national forest in deep southern illinois. I had originally wanted to get good, clear recordings of the tremendous numbers of warblers that are here, but a good, soaking steady light rain decided to stick around. I though, what the heck, that is a part of our natural world also, so let's get it all "on tape". . . . Hope you enjoy this. Recording made with my handy zoom h4n recording utilizing its built-in microphones. To keep as much water off of my h4n as possible, i put one of my big, furry, knitted insulated sock-cap over the recorder, that at least kept my recorder from swimming in water.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel with lfo routed to certin parts sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. Check out my songs on soundcloud :d.

Rootsy solo mandolin cue, part of a "matched set" to be used in different places in a podcast, radio show, or video. The set contains segments from a second or two up to about a minute, to be used for cues, hits, bumps, interstitials and voiceovers. The music is a roundback mandolin from 1900 improvising in the key of g. The feel is uptempo, traditional, natural, organic, old time, americana. I'd be grateful for feedback on what worked and what didn't. How is the sound quality? are there lengths of cue that you needed that weren't here?. I'm happy to do custom recordings to fill in the gaps. My music blog is at http://soupgreens. Om. My email address is lucas@gonze. Com.
