Slow night in an airport terminal. Background music and cluttered distant voices with a general hum found in a large building. The pa system gives a warning message from the transportation security administration (tsa) about luggage.

Birds in a residential neighborhood in north philadelphia, pa at 6am. Sound of a central air unit nearby and occasional vehicle passage in distance. Recorded into ableton live 8 with samson co1u from 2nd story balcony. Some eq filtering applied.

3 guitar layers double-tracked and panned, reversed, pitched up 2 semitones, filtered via cab simulation, looped, faded. Mbv inspired, short ambient guitar oriented loop. Ableton live. April 8 4pm 2023 pa southeast.

A ceramic bowl is struck and a series of sounds of a typical subway commute follows, complete with a jovial subway singer and worrisome announcement on the platform pa. Edited in ableton live for use in the make noise morphagene module.

Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. Tuned to e flat, the notes from top to bottom are b flat, e flat, c, low e flat. In traditional indian tuning the root note in the scale is referred to as sa and is e flat in this scale the fifth note (b flat in this scale) is referred to as pa and the sixth note (c) is dha. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.
