Well. . . . . Field recording is a bit of a stretch this was recorded on my back porch in springfield mo usa in june of 2000. I used a minidisk and two pzm's and a home made spliter box that worked only if you never touched it. It was one in the morning to try and avoid most of the traffic. Rain starts about half way in. Enjoy.
Recorded in huntington, ny at 11:00 am with a sound devices mix pre-3 and an audio-technica bp4025 microphone (with a rode blimp windshield) inside a 2014 honda crv with the microphone placed by the windshield.
Wind and rain at braddons lookout, devonport, tasmania. Recorded from the back of a station wagon, 10 june 2019, with a rode nt4 inside a rode blimp onto a marantz pmd611.
Wind gusts at braddons lookout, devonport. Superb fairy wrens on the ground about 3 metres away. Recorded from the back of a station wagon, 10 june 2019, with a rode nt4 inside a rode blimp, onto a marantz pmd611.
This is actually my favorite sound yet! there was a church clock going off at the time i was recording this, but, alas, i foolishly did not have my windscreen on, and i had to edit it out. Loopable.
