Stomping on a big cement ground as hard a possible with a contact mic attached to the ground. The contact mic provides lots of bass so you can use this for punches, kicks, impacts, anything that can use a sweeter for impacts. I handmade my contact mic and recorded that into a h5. Rain light/moderate falls on the balkony made out of stone. High quality recording with rode nt1a (two times, stereo-mixdown). The rain sounds very close to the mic, very clear and with all the high frequencies catched. Hope someone can use it for whatever. . . I used it as an intro in a song :-).

We where located in the news media viewing area called nasa causeway. This as close as anyone can get to the launch. This was the maiden voyage of the orion spacecraft, and one of the very few delta iv heavy launches. In the beginning of recording you hear nasa announcer giving countdown into loud speakers, when you reach around the 1min 50 sec mark the true booster engine sound overtakes the pa system. We are very grateful for the opportunity to share this, most powerful man made machine with 2. 1million pounds of thrust to get millions of pounds into space.

Breaking several assembled objects.

Varied hits on materials in my basement - cardboard boxes, a treadmill, wooden table, etc. . . Most of the sounds from this pack were extracted from a recording of me striking said objects with my palm. Because of proximity effect, i found some of these to be useful for the sound of an object hitting the ground.

Footsteps. . . Note:. These are no field recordings but handmade walking sounds in different speeds and manners intended for game creation. Most of them you can loop. They are recorded as dry as possible so you should add the ambience you like. How to make these:. 1. First empty two bottles of the famous spanish brandy lepanto. 2. Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).
