Ambient sounds of sea and people and amusements at herne bay, kent, uk in the last week of july 2021. Things were probably a little quieter than usual because of coronavirus even if the official lockdown ended a week or so earlier.

I couldn't find the right sound for my video so i decided to break out the frying pan to get the sound i wanted and decided to share! i used this to emulate the sound of someone hitting a chicken in a video game recording.

Recording of the rehearsal of the local gamelan orchestra of a small mountain village in bali. This was not a concert for tourists, more like a rehearsal party. They played, laughed and had fun all night long. Recorded with my smartphone, so the quality isn´t too good. . .

Just played around with a granulizer and this sound came out of it. Actually i made a track before where i was looking for this exact sound. But until now, i couldn't find it. So if anyone is looking for the same sound too, here it is.

About 15 seconds from a music-box right after winding it up all the way, so the notes are faster and a bit crisper then in my other samples. The melody is somewhat blurred due to the item's age, but it sounds like silent night.

This is just a stretch of a small fire crackling. There are a few extraneous noises in there (some sniffling, distant car going by, light footsteps, keys, camera noises, and some birds), i just provided the full file so you could edit and use which portions work best for you.

This is heavily inspired by the urban myth and/or creepypasta called the backrooms, which have a very distinct atmosphere to them. This is my interpretation. However, this isn't exclusively for backrooms-related stuff! so by all means, if you're simply in need of some interior ambience of any sort, that's also why i made this for you. No advanced processing was used to achieve this sound. I recorded an electrical box in my garage for the buzzing. For the 2nd layer, i turned on some fans in my room, and made a long mono recording of the white-noise. I then split the recording in half, and used each half for the left and right channel, giving it a stereo sound. I then spent an hour leveling all of it because i'm a perfectionist. Yay. Hardware & software used:-audacity-zoom h4n pro (buzzing)-rode nt1 (fan-noise).

Recording of my duduk. It's in the key of a, so i played a b3 and pitched it up to c3 with melodyne so it's usable in a sampler or to import as a wavetable in serum or whatever. Because of it's harmonic content, it actually works great as a clean yet relatively translatable sub bass for electronic music. I used it to make a wavetable in serum which works perfectly. The instrument is a double reed woodwind folk instrument from armenia, the reeds are made of a flattened piece of bamboo, and the body is made of the wood from an apricot tree. And it's history dates back to approximately 1200bc. Enjoy!.

I have been hearing an animal or two beneath my bathtub for some time now. Today i discovered who it was. Leaving my apartment building this afternoon, i saw a cat sized racoon carrying her baby under the walkway. I went back inside and set up a microphone aimed at the floor by my bathtub. Methodology: shure sm58 into focusrite and recorded via ableton. Noise removed in audacity. I have a horrendous ground loop situation. In the future i may try to mic from below the apartment so that it isn't so muffled by the floor. Some noise comes from how much i had to amplify the signal to make it heard.

So this is an alien sci-fi ambient soundtrack that i made, it is very mysterious and spooky, reminds me of the game lost planet or the movie alien. Just like somewhere in an abandoned space jail station lost in space. *warning* --- you may want to turn your volume down*this was accidently created when i was goofing around trying to convert an iso file. It was actually for the movie "a beautiful mind". When the conversion started i wanted to see what it looked like so far and this is what i got out of it. I didn't want to delete it because it sounded so cool. . . . Almost like what a computer world might sound like or "a computer's brain". But anyways i figured maybe someone else might want a sound like this too. I might use it someday myself.

As i heared our doog eating the crunchy vegetables, i quick got my zoom h4n to record it. The maybe some noise of a fly or traffic in the background, but the internal mics were very close to the food-bowl. I had some issue when i came very close as the dog tried to eat as fast as possible, so i prefered to lay the recorder on the ground and kept away with my arm so the eating could be more relaxed. But the dog gobbled anyway in a fast way. Enjoy the soundscape. Maybe use it for asmr ;-).

Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. The strings are tuned to b, d, g and e, so would work well in the keys of g or e minor. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

Little loop with some soloing over it about halfway through, chop the beginning for an intro or use the wacky melody that comes in about halfway through. Its basically in lydian mode, so suitable for indian or just for fun.

Heavy cinder block being dragged across asphalt a couple of times. I tried only sliding it over the ground when the bird was quiet, so you should be able to cut some sounds out and use. Otherwise i have single darker cinder block sounds in my profile.

Grinding a single cup of espresso by hand in a peugeot coffee grinder. It was recorded with a maono au-903 usb mic pointing at the grinder, and set to cardioid. (i'm new to sound recording so i'm taking lots of notes to try and learn what works best. ).

It's pretty decent beat, synth beat too, used just some generic sources to make this, you can loop it too, so that's nice. (i had to add more detail to this description because of the mods, i hope this is enough description to get this sound uploaded).

On new year's, 2000, when the world didn't end, a group of friends was in a log cabin near peterborough, on, canada, and performed this improvised symphony on a collection of percussion toys and wineglasses. Recorded on minidisk, but unfortunately one channel was lost so it's in mono.

I was surprised that this came out so well, an awesome water-down-the-drain sound in my very own kitchen sink. A plastic dishpan was tipped and held there until the water exited. Quite a roar, unmodified except that it is contained in the dish washing file.

I found about rpm challenge the other night. . So i have finished a track. It's a generative sample created by software run under my command, on my friends hardware, than mastered by the guy, came back, sat on my hdd, and because of the challenge i have scrappily finished it.

Ambient sounds of the subdued late night bingo at big top bingo in fargo, nd. I was not prepared with any official gear for this but i loved the soothing sounds of this bingo hall so i took this audio with the voice memo app on my iphone 6.
