This is the ringer of a cheap ge phone that my father had. I think he used it because it was loud and obnoxious and he could hear it.

I recorded this ringtone from my then-typical motorola ultra classic cell phone in early 1997. This version has tiny fade-in/fade-out, about one second of leading silence and two seconds trailing silence for looping. I suggest amplifying it for use on a modern cell phone.

Dialling the number 0 on an old rotary phone. This recording has a slight pause inbetween dialling, and letting go, allowing for more freedom to tweak the timing yourself. I collect telephones and always have them hooked up to the landline. These are the most boring ones i own, consisting of analog home and office telephones with different ringtones ringing in sync. This sound happened by accident. Guaranteed there's no duplicate sound out there. I tried to separate the rings by a suitable time period to sound realistic, and spaced at the end so it could be looped to ring for as long as you need.

I've recorded this by accident. I left ardour recording on my laptop via zoom h2 and forgot about it. Meanwhile my cellphone must have communicated with the gsm network, and the zoom h2 have captured the signal. Luckily no background noise is present. Enjoy this annoying sample :).
