Recorded with a roland r-05. I placed it under my pickup truck on a very rainy day. The sound of rainfall has a little bit of a metallic sound as the rain hits my truck. There is also a river-flowing kind of sound as this street floods in heavy rain, and the water runs from the street into a storm drain right beside my driveway. Various vehicles occasionally pass by.

Field recording of a summer afternoon (28th june, ~20:30) in berlin lichtenberg. The recorder (edirol r-09rh) was set in a very high building, therefore the sound consists mainly of ambient noise, eventually with subtle concrete sounds (birds, childs, dogs, sirens,. . . ). The audio is unfiltered, so it's dominated by low-frequency energy. Filter as you wish :). (the web preview seems to have some high frequency artifacts. Background noise of a busy spot of a brazilian city (porto alegre). Chatter, bus noises, cars breaking and passing through in the background. This one has a little bit more chattering than the other 2 in the pack.

This is a recording i made using my tascam dr-40 field recorder. Used the xy pattern, no post-processing, just some edits to cut off unwanted noise, wind puffs and stuff. It was recorded in santo andre, state of sao paulo, brazil. This sample has street sounds, with rain, people chatting (in portuguese), bird sounds, cars, bikes and airplane sounds.

Recorded at ferry terminal in tsawwassen, bc, canada. It's like alfred hitchcock's the birds in there! they have a pesky starling issue. Thousands of noisy birds hanging out under the shelter of a tall metal tower -- kind of echoey sound, some wind and mic noise. Recorded with iphone on the spur of the moment cause it was so impressively noisy!.

I went to a spot where traffic will slow down, stop and take off and drive at 60kms during peak. Curiously, you can hear the song of insects, cicadas, which usually sing on warm summer days and not on spring nights. Dogs can be heard in the distance and some distant traffic.
