Springtime in a rural indiana neighborhood. A pair of neumann km183 microphones connected by canare l-4e6s and neutrik connectors to a zoom f8 recorder. Gain set to 60db. No processing. Wind noise occasionally, but no overs. This would be a good file to experiment with highpass filtering to remove wind noise.

This was a recording taken on a small train riding around the louisville zoo in kentucky, usa. I took this towards the end of the tour, and was on the back of the train so you can hear the announcer quite clearly directing us. Sorry if there’s some talking in the background, i was siting next to my aunt’s little foster child at the time and he was enjoying himself quite a bit. Recorded in an almost empty train on a fairly even route section at a quite constant velocity, sitting in a cabin for six passengers with five empty seats, compartment door closed at around 8 pm. Recorded with a portable stereo recorder (zoom) set to 96000 hz and 24 bit.

Recording of parakeets being loud in springfield park in easy london at 7:30am in november. This was an unintentional recording as i was testing out some new gear, this meant that i wasn't able to unclip the mics from my rucksack straps and avoid picking up the rustle of my clothes and some breathing. A train and canal boat engines can be heard in the background. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. I tried to originally make the sound of a train speeding up in an 8-bit style, but it sounded more like the sound guardian scouts make in "the legend of zelda: breath of the wild" when they charge up their laser, so i renamed the sound.
