Just some wind.

Weird sound the air vent in my bathroom was making with the ac on. Recorded with samsung a32 phone and voice recorder app. Tried different positions around the vent to get with and without the airflow on the mic. Sounds like some sort of old electronics humming? maybe a didgeridoo far away?.

Recorded in my loft on a zoom h4n - plus a shotgun microphone.

Windy day.

There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.

Recording that i took on a mountain in dieng (indonesia). There was this long, strange kind of grass in which the wind sounded amazing. At least i think. :).

A perfect day in a midwest small-town neighborhood for painting a picture of peace, and thoughtful reminiscing in mid october. From time to time you will hear the distant sound of creaking swings and laughter from a kids playground. I feel this recording captures the serene, but sad, sound of dry leaves in the fall being scattered about by a strong north wind. Recording made with the marantz pmd661-oade, and the incredible beyerdynamic me58 microphone. Since this particular microphone is a dynamic microphone, i had to crank my record gain up to 7. I was really happily surprised that the sometimes un-listenable wind-roar and wind rumble is barely noticeable on this recording. . . . . . Emjoy this autumn soundscape.
