This was made from a 2-second stutter on a voice recording i was doing. I pulled it and played with it, looking for the various ways i could manipulate it. At one point it started sounding spooky and a bit dramatic. I kept going with it, and produced this.

A sort of fade in and out like a spaceship ambiance with little growl in the middle.

Originally a recording of a desk typewriter streched and moderated in adobe soundbooth. Recorded with korg888 and tk-600 microfone. Sounds scarey doesn´t it!.

Creepy whispering voice. Created by feeding output of pwgen password generator to espeak speech synthesiser. Slightly processed but still dry.

Looping, swirling, sweeping, echoey, ambient keyboard sound. The result of an experiment one night with a korg z1 and a pile of vst stuff. Unfortunately i only experimented with it in one key =(. Will also loop nicely in a kind of moody, urban, dubsteppy way at around 67-70bpm.

Processed beat loop 100bpm. Glitchy, dark and a metallic. Falls behind beat intentionally.

Closed hihat, with room, played with fast attack to make it more bpm independent. No further fx used.

This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.

A. Timmons pickup in the bridge position with mid-long reverb using some pinch harmonics on some tones. The dark airy, possibly almost cavernous, desolation you asked for. . . Be more specific regarding pitches/keys, any tweaks. . . I'll find you.
