This is a synthesized hi-hat groove. It is basically an on two layers sequenced noise-patch. One layer to create the "closed hat" effect and another one to create the "open hat" effect. Dark background sound in place of background music. I recorded this in my booth, using audacity and my cad e100s. The higher sound is a pen tapping on the bottom of a metal cup. I used various effects to stretch, raise pitch, and a few others. I also layered the higher sound 4 times to get the "harmony". The low sound was my voice. I lowered pitch, speed and stretched the wave, as well as a few other effects as well. Enjoy.

This is a sound essay comprised of five 1-minute recordings. Seagulls and other birds are present throughout. Airplanes are heard at 2:07 and 4:22. Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. It was a foggy day, so a foghorn can be heard occasionally. Recorded on sony cybershot dsc-hx9v. Location: portland, maine (usa). Date: october 25, 2022.

Recorded at tea, a museum in santa cruz de tenerife. I was invited by dancer masu fajardo to create some sound ambients for a dance piece she was doing there, we decided to use only the sounds being created by her body and her interactions with the space. Here are the sounds of masu stepping at gravel and stone garten ate the museum. You can also hera the sound of stones being thrown at an empty wooden log. Recorded with a zoom h4 n.

A recording made in mid june of 2017 near the ohio river from the bank of rosiclare illinois. The main sound is an angry killdeer that was constantly fussing at me for being too close to her nest. You'll also hear a johnboat plowing through the river, the wind through the leaves of a huge sycamore tree and various children, low in the distance, playing on a playground on this perfect 80 degree summer day. Simulation of leaves rustling. I needed a sound that didn't also include the wind/breeze because i prefer to layer different elements. When i found a dead plant in the basement of my apartment building, i took the opportunity to record some light rustling sounds. Recorded on may 04, 2021. Recreated sounds of a field recording done for loyola high school. There are only two sounds under an attribution license. For the first sound, i just made the duration shorter. A sample that was made completely by accident. I was recording outside my local park and trying to capture the bird calls (with a semi-successful effort - too much motorway noise is a bit of a bummer) one morning and aimed my uchó pro at the ground as i stood on a sludgey leaves and wet sticks with the input too high - overdriving it but also somehow making a gore sound effect. When i imported it to reaper, time-shifting it - i spotted the unique flavor of crunchiness and wetness it gave.
