Ambiant sound recorded on october 2015 in the visit of a warehouse/factory in roubaix france with a zoom h1. Machinery noises, conveyor belt, various clatter and so. May contain some voices.

Fireworks recorded at night, from my balcony. It was august 1st, our national holiday in switzerland. Recorded with a tascam dr-05. No post-process.

Nearly a full minute of birds and other ambiant noises which i captured with my zoom h1n in my parents' yard in a northern greek village.

Recorded at around 4pm sat down with a zoom h5, no processing although cut using garage band. Originally recorded as a wav file. The ride : the fury of triton can be heard in the background.

I didn't notice many good rain sounds on this site so i decided to leave my mic recording beside my window :p it's pretty short but enjoy. Recorded with sony hdr pj260v then edited with audacity.

For free use. This is file for creating deep ambiance. Just mix that sound with other ambiance sound (on free sound there is at least a million such sounds. . . Like noice. . Like thunder rain. . . Like station. . . Like people tallk and so far. . . ). It works best with noises or other deep sounds. I think if you add a little bit of that sound to other audio file you can get very spezial sound for ambiante. I will add similar sound as a only vocal too. This is a recording picked up by dreamtalk, a good app for iphone/ipad/android, it records when i talk in my sleep but also activates when it picks up other sounds and so i decided to upload this it picked up of a dog down the street barking.

I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . Recording made at 6:30 at night with my handy / zoom h4 n recorder using the internal microphones, and of course using a very very stout wind screen. Enjoy.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. Wow, this is a long one. . . But a good one. Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time. I was alone for the entire experience (wife was at work) and nobody joined. It's very clean audio and safe for all production. Recorded on 11/20/2018 in burbank, ca. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.
