Short arpeggiated synth loop. The instrument used is u-he's repro-one synthesiser which is a digital model of the sequential circuits pro one. The first part of the loop features a slow filter modulation. The second part of the loop features the built-in wavefolder distortion built in to the synthesiser.

I wanted to try out some new effect plugins. And also tried out the riff machine from fl. Found a nice arp pattern and just made it progress in minor chords. :d.

A gregorian chant melody line with arpeggiated harmony played from digital keyboard into a music maker midi recording. I gave it a whirl with a vst synthesizer voice called men's cathedral, twirled lots of dials and this came out.

A simple arpeggiated chord. Spaghetti-western guitar is a set of distorted, semi-ambient electric guitar. It was made with stereotypical cowboy themes in mind, but could be adapted for other uses. All sounds are public domain and do not require credit, but i'd love to hear about how you use them!.

I think this sounds a bit like a jazz age theme reflecting a journey by steam ship. It was bolted together from little loopable sections (also uploaded separately here) which were all created using edirol orchestral samples and the magic of arpeggiating programs. Five is four: a polyrhythmic analog-synth loop with ambiguous five or four time signature. Slightly frantic sounding, arpeggiator-like rising pattern a bit like a shepard tone, it's a 5/4 pattern, but accents are distributed in 4/4. 180 bpm, key is a-minor (a-minor then f-major). Two loops marked in wav file, first is the bare synth pattern, loop is samples 0 to 640,000; second is with a pad, loop is samples 960,000 to 1,600,000.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear.
