A shorter, more polished version of my previous sound "alien world" (https://freesound. Org/people/patrick_corra/sounds/540045/). This ambience is a bit more earth-like compared to its predecessor, though any sound used here is either created from scratch or recorded: i used my own voice for the "bird" sounds and a crickets chirping recording for some background noise. Aside from myself and the crickets, no other animal was recorded to create this sound, so i think it's fair to define it as "alien". Inspired by the sounds heard in black mesa's version of xen, i decided to try creating a similar soundscape.

I would upgrade my cabin if this was the noise i had to live with. Through film we - know - the space ship background noise. A freighter or a battleship - more noise. In this, you are relaxing in the back of a small early 2000's convenience store/cafe lounge. We went to strasbourg to follow an invitation by an photographer to his vernissage! to bad that we got stucked into the traffic jam and arrived while the gallery was already closed! that was really a bummer because the drive took us four hours!lucky that i had my zoom h6 because strasbourg is by far an amazing city with so many street life. The new hope & ivyland railroad is located in new hope, pennsylvania, usa. Basically, it's a tourist railroad that gives visitors the experience of riding in an old fashioned train. You take a short trip out (too short in my opinion) and a short trip back to the station. Since i wanted clean sound, my wife decided to surprise me by paying for the private seats on the very back (outside) of the train. Think of old pictures of presidents waving from the rear of a moving train. . . That place!. So, with zoomh4n pro in hand, i recorded the entire trip from station to station. 11/29/2018 - burbank, california. Rain, flooding, and mudslides come to california when a sudden storm hit today. Most people got off the freeways quickly and tried to protect their homes from water damage. This recording was recorded with a zoomh4npro (2018) set at 120 degree field-pattern mode. The zoom was placed on a tripod facing out a 3rd floor window into a dead-end alleyway below. This recording is great atmospheric sound. The water can be heard trickling off spanish tile rooftops and dripping from overflowing terracotta pots. From the passing cars on a distant highway, to the occasional cough of a homeless gentleman walking on the street below, this recording is genuine and clean. Imagine adding that sound of a metal garbage can and a shrieking cat in the night! a sound that's great for sleeping or portraying a dark alley in gotham!. Enjoy!. Christopher c. Courter.

A summer evening in a vineyard by the german town of freyburg on unstrut. The recording abounds with natural background noises (wind in trees, birds, insects). In the foreground, a little bird is singing, giving it all it has. I am no bird expert, but if somebody knows what species it is, i'd love to know. At 3:22 into the recording, the tower bells of the keep of neuenburg castle, located on the hill opposite, toll 9 o'clock. They do this by tolling a high bell 4 times, once for each quarter of the full hour, followed by a lower bell tolling the hour 9 times. Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time. From 1:00-2:00in the sky a long way behind me and to the left, but somewhat far in the air, a group of birds are fighting above a large group of trees that are shaped like a ball of veins. Most of the birds are crows, or just black birds; each noise they make is a series of “caws” no different from each other in pitch, tone, or frequency. There's also the sound of 3 small birds directly to my right around 5 meters away from me, making loud but shrill chirping sounds. The birds are each the same size but and are hopping around the perimeter of a cactus right behind them. The wind blows onto the right side of my body and the front of my body. Waves from the ocean are crashing directly behind me, each in long sessions. The way they sound is consistent, like the sound of rain. Occasionally one of the waves will crash, increasing in volume but not in pitch or tone.
