It is a partly cloudy, windy day and a fair amount of people are at the beach, few are bathing. Some boats and ships pass by in the mid distance. The recorder is situated in a small wood some 40m or so from the shore, facing the beach and capturing a wide angle. Recorded with a zoom h2n. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Mics set to 120° dispersion.

This recording was made in my backyard. I live in virginia beach. I do a lot of nature filming in high noise areas; areas such as gardens near airports. I will, many times, use the sound from my backyard as opposed to the camera sound.

Recorded with a zoom h1 n. It's a high tide and the waves are slowly lapping at the kelp strewn sandy beach. Recorded at rathtrevor beach, vancouver island, on the salish sea. There was a dog barking in the far distance, edited out. I also edited the ending with a fade out.

This is version 2 of an atmos recording of a busy beach during the summer. In this version i have my back to the sea so it picks up more of the goings on on the beach itself. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 using internal stereo mic. See version 1 for atmos recording where i am facing the sea.
