This is a sound walk near my house. I will not add a geotag because of privacy reasons. This is a sound walk, but it is not narrated. This is for an assignment for my music appreciation course in loyola high school. Here, you can hear my footsteps, a car passing by me, making the doppler effect, and some sounds of the wind.

After a rain storm, if it's a hot day the mist will rise, particularly in my river valley. There are railroad tracks on the far side of the valley from where i live, about five miles distant. In damp air the sound really carries. This file is unmodified.

This is the one minute narration of a sound walk i did on september 7, 2019 at the afternoon. I walked the streets of 8117 garden grove ave. , reseda, california, united states. During this sound walk, i heard multiple sounds around me. These sounds are as follows: a garden hose gushing out water, a dog barking quite aggressively, a car passing by, creating a doppler effect, the footsteps on leaves and branches, and the soft breeze of the wind.

Recorded at silverstone circuit from becketts grandstand for the fia formula 3 (race 1) for the 2022 season. Recording captures the entire lap, from the exhaust sound from them coming through the loop, aintree and the wellington straight with them coming past the microphone at maggots, becketts and chapel corners. The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. Tabla is percussion instrument with two drums 'daya' and 'baya'. Only the 'daya' drum is usually tuned. For checking the tuning the 'na' bol is played. Recorded using samson-go portable condenser mike at home. Placing the mike too close to tabla was clipping the sound and if placed away, it was not picking the extended resonance. Hence the mike was moved closer after attack, hence the apparent increase in amplitude and some doppler effect is seen.

A wonderful typical mid-summer soundscape of cicadas, and some katydids recorded on the edge of a small town in illinois. This is not a recording of an actual siren, but generated by a synthesizer at the exact two frequencies that the siren consists of. For a realistic result it is suggested that you mix this with other background sounds and add your own doppler, echo, panning and other effects to suit your needs.

Here is a recording done during the fireworks of san juan at the beachof barcelona, spain. I was standing in front of the mapfre building, between the building and the sea to be exact. Fireworks were being launched behind me from the beach and their sound was reflected off of the building in front of me. The effect you hear are thereflections of the building. The building is shaped to visually reflect the city back onto the beach. Hence each floor has mirrors in a 45 angle downwards, all around the building (look it up on google for details). The sound must be coming from different points each located further away, creating a kind of discrete doppler effect, i suppose, although i am not yet 100% sure what exactly causes this. I am holding the microphone sideways, so you hear the explosions on your right ear and the reflection traveling to the left. In reality, you hear the explosion behind you and the reflection traveling up along the building. If you are ever in barcelona end of june during "san juan", you should check this out!.
