Made this in bitwig, i used 17 different layers to make this. A kick drum is added before the gunshot to add punch. Sub bass is synthesized for the deep lowend, 30-50hz. All layers were selected for certain frequencies using eq and then processed together with multiband compression. Shell sounds, mechanical noises were added for more depth. Using automation, the pitch, decay, and phase of every single layer used other than the subbass, morph to give life to the sound loop, and not sound robotic. Even though it "might" sound real, its an illusion of sounds being played from a midi clip. Enjoy.

This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.

One of my brothers came by spontaneously to say hello and he slammed the door behind him hahah. These beautiful birds stay here in southern illinois all year long, and are a welcome flash of color and blue crest once autumn begins arriving. A nice ambient recording made on sunday morning may 5th 2013 around 6:30 in the morning in the shawnee national forest in deep southern illinois. I had originally wanted to get good, clear recordings of the tremendous numbers of warblers that are here, but a good, soaking steady light rain decided to stick around. I though, what the heck, that is a part of our natural world also, so let's get it all "on tape". . . . Hope you enjoy this. Zoom h4n 2018 - onboard microphones. This is an unprocessed recording of the pilot light being repeatedly lit and then extinguished on a natural gas fire globe. This would be perfect for the sound of any gas device being lit such as a grill, boiler, pool heater, water heater, stove, oven, etc. . . This lovely little toy piano has been a member of my parent’s home since before i can remember. These days it falls under the jurisdiction of my 4-year old niece, who was ever so kind as to allow me to record it!. A huge ice storm moves in to the back woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. First it snowed. . . And then it sleeted. When all that sleet froze on the surface of the snow, walking in this winter-wonderland produced an amazing sound. So, i put on my boots, grabbed my zoomh4n and set out to record the magic!. This would be very useful as foley fx for walking in any frozen environment. I walked on various surfaces and depths of ice and snow throughout. I tried to leave enough space between steps so that the sounds do not overlap so that they can be cut for editing purposes. Enjoy!. - christopher c. Courter.

Raw sound of lips kisses. Used to make these noises many years ago during high school lessons when i was bored in the classroom. The aircraft touches down at 0:47, the english in-flight arrival announcement is broadcast at 3:44, and there is a bounty of ambient noise including seatbelts clicking, bags zipping, and chatter from passengers. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . This recording was made around 8 in the morning on a warm and slightly humid day in late september using the marantz pmd661 and a rode ntg2 shotgun microphone. Do you sense the insects are more subdued than usual? as if they, too, are waiting for the cooler masses of early autumn?? the overall loudness of the birds is also down somewhat, maybe some of our neotropical migrants have already left. . . . Taking with them the wonderful midwest diet and warm memories of raising the next generations of their kind before the swamp turns gray, and cold and inhospitable for raising a family. . A recording of a typical busy, yet peaceful later afternoon sound-scape of a small midwestern town at 5:30pm on a weekday. This was recorded on tuesday may 24th, 2016 using the marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones. . . True stereo recording. You will hear the delightful sound of neighborhood kids playing a friendly - or sometimes not so friendly - game of wiffleball which adds to the reflective nature of this recording. The trilling bird calling towards the end of the recording is the beautiful little, rusty-capped chipping sparrow. These chipping sparrows converge on the midwest around this time and their calls can be mistaken as an insect. My mother's house is the keeper of a trend by sligh grandfather clock named bonnie. Each time i pass by it, i admire the sound. I decided to capture it. It's mostly a clean recording outside of the occasional bird chirp or atmospheric sound. Easy to clean up, edit, and loop. Enjoy!. Recorded using an oktava mk-012-01 through a focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface; captured at 96k 32bit float, and bounced down to 48k/24bit in pro tools on windows 11. The mic was placed about two inches away, perpendicular to the face of the clock with the dial window open. The only processing i applied was a fabfilter proq3 48db/oct low cut at 110hz to eliminate of some of the room/ac rumble.

The pretty, soothing, trilling song of the pine warbler. These callings were recorded on sunday march 30th 2014 in a small pine grove, in the middle of a larger forest. On the day i recorded this, the weather was perfectly sunny, and mild -- temps about 60 degrees -- with very little wind. When i first heard this song, i was instantly reminded of a sewing machine. Enjoy. Recording made with my zoom h4-n field recorder, using a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone placed on a tripod, about 3 feet above the forest floor. To make sure i got a decent level on this soft call, i did have to crank up the recording volume to about 85 on the scale of 100.

Found this plastic tube while digging in the garden. Apparently part of childs toy. Now the cat enjoys rolling it around. It's soothing like a tuned wind chime. Give a listen.
