Listed by the w:United States Air Force Band at The Air Force Strings Music page as "Air", which might be confused with Air", but actually Air on the G String. From the 2000 album Collage, recorded at The United States Air Force Band Recording Facility, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. 18-26 May, 2000. This is the sound of the short part of guitar strings plucked over the headstock, between the nut and tuning pegs. They do not make for any particular sounds, harmonies or melodies, just random tones which may be used for some sound design, noises, jingles etc. I recorded this for my own purposes (game sfx) with 3 different guitars (see the other 2 files as well) and thought i would share it with anyone who may find it useful - if you do, please help yourself and enjoy! ;).

16-bar synth string stem.

Simple, sad chords with an ambient drum pattern accompanying. I created this with logic pro x and a basic soft synth that come with the software. The drums have some effects from fabfilter's "timeless" plugin, and also some distortion, but nothing too fancy. This is my first sound contributed to the community so they'll hopefuly get more interesting as i improve, but feel free to use it as you wish.

A raw recording of a home-made 5-string kantele played by an uneducated person. The first part is an adaptation of the traditional song Vaka vanha Väinämöinen. The other parts are some random ways in which the instrument can be played and may or may not correspond to traditional playing methods.
