I accidentally sneezed while testing audio levels but it happened to be self-contained with the right volume for an isolated sound effect! recorded on my new blue yeti nano with noise reduction applied. (it's a foley story--i wouldn't be guilty of wasting good 12-year-old scotch, or bourbon or australian wine--no way--sorry dad. I drank them all down my gullet. )(but not all in one sitting!).

Made some chicken alfredo and as i was slapping the noodles with the wooden spoon it sounded great! works for some gross effects or if someone gets slapped you can supplement your slapping noise with some moisture for some comedic value ;). I believe sound clips should be openly shared, but i am always interested in seeing how people use them ;).

This is a whole lot of longsword-on-longsword sounds. I was specifically trying to get nice sounds for "winding", when two swords are pushed back and forth and around each other as opponents look for an opening. There are also some "binding" sounds, when the two swords first clash. Some of these binding noises did peak the mic. None of these binding noises were the swords hitting at full force - they are all weaker binds. Pick and choose the noises you like to build your sword fight foley.

Faucet in a metal sink turned on and off. Hands are run through the water to simulate hand washing. Recorded in a tokyo apartment with a coincidental mic pair placed at a 90 degree angles it's basically a raw recording, but i ran an ssl hpf with the cutoff set at about 28 hz to take out the rumble of the train passing by. . . Since the apartment was near the station, the train sound was unavoidable. But if this is used in a larger mix, it probably won't be noticeable.

The app was developed to interrogate whether cats could be entertained with a phone app. The recording features torn and crumpled paper, little noises we use to attract our cat, casio. Some atmos i took for a recent video. I didn't edit out me fumbling with the mic (tascam dr07) but it's a solid 2 minutes of outside sounds. You can hear little drops of rain and a wind chime, as well as cars driving through puddles down the street.

I made this using two oscillators in native instrument's fm8 synth. There is nothing too fancy, just two sine waves played out the same output, but one has an offset of 440hz, and the second oscillator has an offset of 330hz. I then just played two notes that didn't sound too dissonant, and then ran it through some low-fi processing.

Actually, i needed the sound of a hubcap to add to an auto accident crash sfx and recorded this pot lid in my basement using my laptop computer, audacity, and an inexpensive condenser mic. Hubcap1 is the pot lid rattling around and coming to rest on the cement floor in my basement. (the mic was further away from the pot lid for hubcap1. ).

Looking at the spectrogram waveform display of https://freesound. Org/people/ivolipa/sounds/344948/ i noticed a few patterns. Distinct bands of high volume at around ~600hz, ~1200hz, ~1800hz, the fade in volume toward higher frequencies, a ubiquitous noise, and the soft staccato rhythm. Using these facts, i tried to make yet another engine sound with fm-synthesis. Sound forge 7 — to my knowledge — lacking a spectrogram, i've no clue if this was a successful attempt, but it does have a vaguely engine-like sound.

One of a series of foley recordings i made by sticking a piece of contact (sticky plastic of the kind you use to cover books) to a wall and tearing various household objects off it. The idea was to make a fairly comprehensive collection of rips and tears with varying timbral qualities that i could use to design ui sounds effects.
