Swiss forest, sunny winter morning, on a small mountain. The cracks and other falls are due to the snow that melt in the sun and fell from the top of the trees. It was beautiful. Recorded in stereo with h5n, and processed a little bit to reduce the wind.

To me, nothing says the great outdoors like owls hooting in the early morning forest. This was recorded at 6:30a. M. On saturday august 29th, 2015 in the shawnee national forest in southern illinois. , in a low spot near a stream in deep woods. I've been meaning to try and capture that magical, melancholy feeling of the late summer and early fall of the midwest woods.
