167 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Glitchy"

Synthesizer ambience with glitchy electronic sounds as rhythm. I used mostly nexus vst and lots of freeware ambient effects in the mix. Old file from 2011 i discovered in my files :-).

Created by dmak and formatted for use in the make noise morphagene. Based on multi-resampled stacked loops with enough space to play with. I hope people who are looking for structure, texture and glitchy sounds will find there a useful playground.

Hard house style loop programmed in ableton. Straight 4 on the floor with a big kick and a top end break run through an auto filter and beat repeat for a glitchy random sound. 4 bars at 133 bpm.

This is the 1st sound ive uploaded in a while! but yah its a pretty wierd sound to use if you want a guard to prevent someone from accessing a prohibited area in your game. (you dont have to credit me if you dont want to).

I tried to import a raw, pcm audio sample into audacity and it came out like this. It was alot worse when it was imported, right now this is about as audibly palatable as i could get it to. This is still loud, so turn your speakers down a little bit before playing.

Boink. These are part of a set of "boink" samples i made using a nord micromodular randomly fming to itself. They're really useful for minimal or glitchy techno and tech house. A mobile phone recording of a jalousie flapping in a window at a library. It made an irresistible sound. The recording technique, or something else, added a glitchy extra sound. Very welcome! the sound is edited in audacity. The original sound was in mono, and i wanted some stereo effects. It’s a 6 second loop.

Recording of a 1995 compaq computer desktop hard drive. Features electronic whirring, powering up / down sounds, whirring, clicking, "memory access" noise. Could be used for e. G. A movie scene with computers in the background, glitchy techno, etc.

Soundscape of some pads. . Strange how the midi was created. . Used a granular device to create some sort of glitchy effect, then just converted that "melody" to midi in ableton, added stock ableton sound. And post processed to give it pad and ambience.

This is another loop i made with some software i'm cooking up for unity (to allow users to make short loops like this and embed them in their games without necessarily rendering them to wav/mp3's first). Experiments with ornament & crime "viznutcracker, sweet!" mode into braids generated several minutes of digital glitch sounds. These were then edited into a morphagene reel (and one-shot sample pack). The sounds are useful in isolation. Single splices can be looped and stretched into drones, triggered as percussion effects, etc. These sounds also work as a glitchy performance pool, and can be layered and juggled through a morphagene performance.

Picture yourself being abducted by a highly advanced alien race, you're trapped inside one of their crafts, being far far away from earth at this point, i guess this is a soundscape that reminds me of it, created by experimenting with various free plugins including dtblkfx and thesis2b, both amazing tools on their own, more than capable of giving you glitchy squelchy hi-tech sounds.

Lots of electrical noise. I got this sound using an aux cable from my laptop to a broken 3. 5mm to 5. 25mm adapter to my mixer. Noises were generated by my fingers scrubbing around the laptop's trackpad and clicking keys on the keyboard. Also my air conditioner is generating a constant noise. Every few minutes there is a neat glitchy sound, i'm guessing it's from some data being processed on the laptop. .

Created and formatted for the make noise morphagene, this reel is divided into three sections with like sounds clustered together for ease of navigation. The first group of splices are glitchy, percussive, experimental, modular snippets. The middle third consists of melodic and chordal washes. The final cluster is a series of field recordings taken from a recent trip to beirut, lebanon, with a cut up inspired splice at the very end. Collectively, i hope this sonic material will inspire the user to mangle, manipulate, and deconstruct to taste.
