A theme i composed* on cubase with edirol orchestral samples. I use some of these themes on radio dramas and readings that i put out on my radio show. I haven't used this one yet but i'll put out some more that i have and haven't used it he coming months - no need to attribute the source, just use away. *compose is an excessively generous word for my trial and error use of the piano roll function.

Microphone: zoom iq7 with simple windscreen not edited stereo 120deg. Baltic sea: calm sea, waves about 20cm amplitude. Best filtering for wind-noise: high-pass 125hz to 150hz / -18db/oct.

Roscoff, french britanny (16h15). On a dam near to the port of roscoff, 2017/12/12, recorded with a olympus ls 100 , high pass at 100 hz. This sound is edited then you can loop it.

Gentle sea wash recorded on at the beach about half an hour away from my house. The audio was captured with a high quality sennheiser shotgun microphone (i forget the model sorry) into a tascam dr100. Recorded with a zoom h1 n. It's a high tide and the waves are slowly lapping at the kelp strewn sandy beach. Recorded at rathtrevor beach, vancouver island, on the salish sea. There was a dog barking in the far distance, edited out. I also edited the ending with a fade out.

Recorded using the ms mic on the zoom h644. 1khz/16bit wav recording. No effects added. Marine drive (south mumbai) at 9pm during high tide right after raining for a short time. Recorded whilst standing on a pavement across the street; facing towards the sea. Volume is initially low, but i increased the input level after about the 1 minute mark.

The sound was recorder with a zoom h1n with windshield at a short distance from the crashing of the waves on the beach. The waves are driven by a light, gentle wind. The sound was recorded by holding the microphone in my hand while i dived knee-deep into the water and walk, filming the crashing of the waves (also on my legs). High-frequency sound details (the foam of the sea, the impact of waves on each other, etc. ) are much more audible here. Processing:* volume adjustment;* 120hz high pass filter (to reduce low some low frequencies rumble due to the wind);* cut and crossfade to eliminate very few mechanical noise of my hand on the mic;.

I'm back with another binaural. I am attempting to capture the sounds that remind me of the places i have visited. This is a recording of fuertaventura, in the canary islands, on a pebble beach the morning after a big wave swell. The rocks being moved by the sea are at least as big as footballs, and the waves are 8-12ft. I upgraded my binaural mics to roland cs-10em from my homemade ones. I'm happy if you can notice the difference. I like that they are combined mics and earphones with little windbooms. Files are recorded in:24-bit 96khz. Wav. This high quality recording is of a cargo logistics train leaving the port of fremantle, pulling many, at least 50, sea containers on rail-cars through a railway crossing on a bend, curve of the line. You can hear the signal bell on the drop gate with flashing red lights and the steel rail-car wheels screeching on the curved track.

Large river rapids running strongly after winter rain. Recorded approximately fifty feet above water level. The river flows and turns through a narrow, high, partly exposed bedrock canyon which likely amplifies the sound of the rapids. The first nine seconds are unedited. The last two seconds have a fade out applied. In summer you can walk where the centre channel is in winter, so this is a lot of water moving swiftly down the cowichan river to the salish sea.
