First, i thought it was a night-bird but i could not identify it clearly and i never heard an owl shouting like that. Then i understood why when i found on internet a sample exactly like mine. . . This sound was from a live video feed on a social media broadcast. At some point the audio just got caught into a feedback loop that lasted for a bit. I thought it sounded interesting and saved it. Has kind of a laser or phaser cannon kind of thing going on. Perhaps an alert sound of some sort. Probably many possibilities for usage.

This sound is made by my old continuity meter when the contacts are moved around. The clicking sounds similar to that of a more modern geiger counter or dosimeter. I have heard a few over the internet and some of them produce a beeping noise when the max range of radiation level is reached. Please feel free to used this sound. And remember to rate and comment. Layered snare that has been eq'd (equalised)it was made in ableton and processed with a couple of third party plugins. It's a combination of sounds that i've found on the internet and recorded. This snare obviously doesn't have to be played in trap music but it's been layered with a 808 even if you can't here it or not it has similar fundamentals. It has been compressed also.

I needed some incidental character sounds for my cartoon so i broke out my zoomh2n and made some. I then cleaned up the audio and figured i should share it at my favorite internet site for great sound effects. No need to credit me if you use it, but if you do use one of my sounds, and have the time to let me know, that would be cool, but don't feel obligated. :).

While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).

Time to give something back. Drilling right in front of my house. Because internet cable was broken. Used the opportunity to mic it up. Recording made from inside. Drilling is about 5m away with a wall in between. You can hear my son about halfway through way in the background. But thought i wouldn't cut up the sample. I'm trying to get some character to my modular sounds. This is a sequence with a sawtooth wave mixed with noise and joined in a vca that can distort a little. It's a vca i bought used. Don't think a new vca of the same sort distortes. I really like that. I little reverb is added to the sound. The sound is analog until it reaches the reverb. Sometime i will buy a spring reverb. Promise. But here, on the internet, the sound is digital anyway.

This is a recording of the scariest/weirdest computer crash i ever experienced. I was working in after affects when the screen froze and this sound started blaring through my headphones. I unplugged myself and let it play through the speakers then decided it was really neat sounding, so i took a mic and recorded it. This was a couple years ago but i never uploaded it because the recording didn't do it justice. I opened the file recently and thought it sounded kind of neat anyway, so here you go, internet. The sound of windows 7 rebelling and trying to come to life.

While recording narration on my blue yeti microphone, the cable came loose in just such a way that it started glitching and converted everything i said into weird techno music. In the radio drama big data, it was used to represent the end of the internet. You are free to use it in any way you like, but it would be super funny if you credit it to "broke yeti" as though that is a real band and help me confuse people.

Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. I was looking for a smoke machine blast and a c02 gun blast for an after-movie sound design, but i couldn't find a proper sound on the internet, so with my sound design knowledge, i tried to replicate those noisemakers. I've only used the internet to facilitate human contacts. Being with actual people in actual places has always been the goal. I like it when, in the presence of real people, we don't speak for a while. We just do something that we've agreed to do together in silence. There is an agreement and we don't have to think about who we are, how we can be who we are or what it all means. Doing becomes meaning.
