i am takahashi hanako. Let me know if you want to change your look!. A request from mearii23 (sorry it's so late). Note that my first language is english and i'm not fluent in japanese, so i'm sorry if my pronunciation or emphasis is off. I hope i did well. I also did the phrases multiple times just in case.

This is a heavily processed recording of a park in tokyo at night. You can hear some kids hanging out talking and cars go by. Trippy stuff.

Crowded diner/restaurant in tokyo. This is a stereo mixdown of a 4 channel surround recording i took in a crowded restaurant in tokyo. You can hear a a lot of conversations, some waiters and lots of utensil sounds. Most of the conversation in the background is in japanese. I think i heard some english when i edited this, but i'm not really sure. Anyways, good stuff. Mics were places at a 20 degree and 90 degree angle and then later mixed down to stereo. Enjoy!.

A small park in higashi-koenji, tokyo at dusk. There are some university aged kids drinking and smoking in the background. I wanted to record the fountain sound as well, but the fountain had already been turned off. You can hear some bird, rustling of the wind in the trees and traffic in the distance. Recorded with a pair of mics at 120 degrees.

This is a 2 mic recording in a darts bar in tokyo. The first part is a pretty decent recording of the room. But then later the background music gets really loud. Because it's summer time, the air-conditioner is cranked full blast.

This is a 4 mic recording taken inside a pachinko parlor in akasaka, tokyo. There are so many loud machines and the background music is so loud that you can hardly make out individual sounds and the entire space is just a wash of noise. If you listen closely to this one you can hear some of the individual balls dropping. (when you play pachinko, you win metal balls which can be exchanged for cash later. ).

A wooden plate on which people write his/her wish is called 'ema' in japanese. I hope the spelling won't be funny in your languages, though. Those emas are hung on the metal shelf in a temple in kyoto city, and the wind blows strongly on them. Wooden plates and metal bars rattle. Low rumble cut by eq. Edirol r-44 and audio-technica bp4025.
