Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.

This is a sample of a metal kitchen mixing bowl. The first note (b, not perfect b) is unpitched and recorded as is. The following notes are the original note pitched up 1 semitone each time to achieve a 13 note scale b to b.

Chinese restaurant (portugal) about 10 x 10 mts large with 20 people inside. Sunday 9pm. Chatter (portuguese + other), chairs dragging, some noise from the street behind the big glass window in front; noise from the kitchen (cutting vegetables on wood, frying on wok, chatter in chinese). Mic pointing at the center of the room. In front a big avenue (door closed). On my right/behind is the kitchen on an open space. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.
