This is a simple clip of a police motorcycle starting and revving up a few times. It doesn't have much of a roar but is much softer of an engine sound.
With resemblance to the sound of an engine, this sound can be used with various different mechanical objects in mind. This sound was bounced into 24bit, 48hz, interleaved audio. This sound was synthesised using a digital synthesiser.

A passing motorcycle on the freeway. Fade-in/out added to reduce wind and traffic noise. Slight low-mid attenuation to compensate for filtering caused by the freeway sound-barrier. This is a dirt track in alabama (monster mountain, i think). I didn't realize my recorder kicked on as i was carrying it around in my pocket. The result was some really good audio of a dirt bike race, along with a little bit of small crowd sounds.
