This is the sound of a viking electric lawnmower in action; mowing a piece of lawn. Today i got my audio equipment. This is my first contribution. When i was walking around today to catch sounds, i met a man who was mowing his lawn. I asked him if i could record him while he was mowing his lawn. He agreed and i was allowed to record him mowing. It's a viking electric lawnmower. Description: a man mows the lawn with an electric lawnmower. He drives the lawn mower over a piece of path to the meadow, mows and drives the lawn mower back. At the beginning of the recording, there is a short question asked if he should start now, which i confirm. The recording is unedited. Recording device: zoom h5microphone: xyh-5date: 31 july 2020place: schwanewede, northern germanytime: afternoon, about 4 pm. Weather: 25 °c, sunshine. Hardly any clouds in the sky. Wind from east-northeast, 2 bft.

A large scoop clanking at a construction site from a fair distance with a background of steadily chirping morning crickets. A riding lawnmower enters the soundscape.

Motor idling. Low, repetitive rumbling of a gator (utility vehicle, like a working-man's golf cart) idling outside, taken from on the tractor itself with a zoom h2 in 120* pattern.

A gasoline powered string trimmer (with quieter riding mower in the distance). There is a second good nearby section near the end. Recorded with the zoom h4n in 48k/24bit.

Springtime in a rural indiana neighborhood. A pair of neumann km183 microphones connected by canare l-4e6s and neutrik connectors to a zoom f8 recorder. Gain set to 60db. 120hz highpass filter applied.

Stereo recording from the porch of a home on the main street of a quiet shore town. Waves in the far distance. Lawnmower and cars are nearby.

It was time to mow the lawn, and it was a beautiful day for mowing. 80 degrees and sunny. Not much breeze at all. For the production: i took the zoom h1 out and set it by the porch about 2 feet up off the ground. Recorded at 96k 24bit. The low cut and agc were disabled. Once recorded, i finished it off with a small amount of airwindows "air" with the 22k tap opened all the way up. For the mower: i used a 21 inch 140 cc "550ex" series briggs & stratton gas walk behind push mower. When i finished mowing my yard, i approached the recorder up to about 2 feet, then i cut the engine. I start it again and let it idle in close proximity for about 8 seconds, still at a distance of about 2 feet, then cut the engine one last time. I'm sure this could potentially come in handy for those outdoor scenes where you could use some distant neighborhood activity or a close-up start/stop. Enjoy!.

Air fryer cooking stuffs. This sound is unique, and can be used in multiple ways that make sense, like a lawn mower, a pressure washer like machine, or other things that i can't think of right now. An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. Recorded with a zoom h1n, 24-bit, 48khz, stereo. Cleaned up a bit in izotope rx.

A flock of sheep (150-200 animals) in the middle of the park "englischer garten" in munich. Used regularly there as lawn mowers. Slowly approaching, surrounding me in the end of the recording. Vocalisations from young and old animals, as well as movement in the gras.
