After this i'm going to be making different kinds of music, learning about sampling and making soulful music along with this. Like always this is made in fl studio. I created a chip track to which i added a reverbation effect. I copied it and then rendered both onto a new track. Reusing the same sound , i lengthened the tempo and increased the pitch on the second one. I then reused it a few times to imitate the sound of the ball bouncing off the table, speeding up the tempo and adding a fade out effect. Recorded in june 2016 on a new york city subway train approaching the last stop (34th street–hudson yards) on the 7 train line. Recorded with a zoom h2n in 4-channel mode - this is the xy recording only (msg me if you want the raw ms recording!), without a windshield. File has not been modified.

Sound of opening the inner lid of new elite coffee. It consists of a clearly audible part, and a quiet part - opening the remaining paper. This is not a sound you can record often, because you can open coffee only once!. Sound was recorded with a mic "sony" (an inexpensive one). It was edited a bit, to cut unwanted mic-touch sounds. The packaging of coffee says, "elite platinum, 100% natural freeze dried instant coffee, 100 g".

My apartment/studio was very quiet except for the steam heat so i put a mic in the middle of the room (an ear trumpet labs edwina) and put it through a lindell mic preamp and then into a focusrite 18i20 interface to record. This is the mono, 48khz, 32-bit file for your dining and dancing pleasure. Actually, it's just room tone and can be mixed judiciously to cover gaps in your own tone or to make brand new rooms from scratch.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. I've found some great textures through playing the reel back at 1x speed, with gene-size, morph, slide and organize modulated by sequencers, random cv and cycling lfos. There is a new freeware program called splitte. Aithat will take any piece of music and extract parts from it. It is highly inaccurate when trying to really accuratelysurgically remove, say, bass, drums, guitar or vocal tracks,but it creates some really trippy artifacts. All of these sample were from a live jazz tune that we were playing. The results of splitter splitting the tracks were really weird and ethereal. I have no affiliation with splitter. Ai, by the way, i just stumbled on it thisweek.

It's time to go on an upload spree! i've made tons of new sounds when i wasn't uploading, and i think it's about time to share some of them with you people. :) this was really easy to make. I just stood outside for a little while, recorded the outside ambience, amplified it so it's audible, eqed it, and added some reverb to give it that stereo effect. Hopefully you enjoy this and find it useful. Have a good christmas. (or hanukkah. ).
