A recording of me opening my car door, getting in, starting the engine and closing the door. Recorded on a tascam dr100 portable recorder.

Left the lid of my top loading freezer open, you can hear the hum of the motor and also the crackle of inside the freezer. Messing around with a low or high pass filter can give a nice background white noise. Free for commercial and non commercial use as apart of a creative piece of work. Recorded with the zoom f4 and rode m5s.

Opening a front door from the inside, walking outside and closing the door, then locking it. Keys jingle at the end. It is a summer day outside.

Opening an overused and tap-water-filled mangaļi plastic bottle, drinking from it, then closing the cap. Oh yeah, and slam.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door so as to capture some of the natural room sound/reverb (which is very subtle). I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed slightly off-axis to capture just a bit more room sound. Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

Open and closing a hamster cage: from the the sound you could't think this is a hamster cage. It sounds like a metal cage opening and closing a few times. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing was done to this sound.

Open a cardboard delivery box with scissors in my room. A packing plastic bag and a plastic case were inside the box.

This happened when the audio was recording between vocal takes at a recording studio, completely naturally - no actingopening a small redbull can, sipping, small burprecorded with a peluso 22 251 studio condenser microphone going through a capi vp26 preamp.
