Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. Recorded with a zoom h4n portable recorder, on the balcony in my grandmother's apartment.

The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. I wanted to capture tramp of feet on gravel moving away, as a typical sound to be used in stories.

I cannot get the stinking birds to really sing, yet theydo it normally and drive me crazy. Some of them may die today.

This is a field recording of the sound of market traders in central athens markets. It's the call of the fish traders but also the butchers whose markets circle the central fish markets. A place where the intensity of the rituals becomes a positive feedback loop reinforcing the intensity.

I placed a radioactive towards a series 900 mini-monitor (gm tube), starting from about 50cm away. Saturation is reached 5cm away. I repeated moved the rock towards and away from the detector over a period of 2 minutes. I used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

Blok modular set to bang on random keys/throw random parameters in various places. Sort of a kind of fm synthesis but i'm pretty sure blok can do a lot of extra things like place filters/waveshapers after the modulator but before the main oscillator. Don't want to give away much else but you can improv random textures by drawing in a waveshaper window/right-click to drag the drawing from one side to another. Also you can use the atan button to scale the notes on some sort of curve by distorting the note values. I could've added delay/reverb/eq/ ambience but i wanted it to be as dry as possible because that's personally what i look for, raw sounds that you can choose to change if you like. This is a nylon coat with a wide-tooth zipper being zipped and unzipped at various speeds plus a couple of intermittent 'stuck zipper' sections. In several places i left the swishing sound of the nylon coat in to simulate the sound of a sleeping bag being zipped/unzipped. Recorded with stereo nt1a mics in a soundbooth. No effects.

This is an old commercial refrigerator from the grocery store. It was making a very nice regular droning sound so i placed my phone inside the fridge to get a clean recording without the noise from the store. Perfect for a spaceship drone or background noise at a factory.

Short 7 second clip from a 120 minute recording on palm sunday in the city of warren, mi. This clip takes place about 30 minutes before sunrise, bird next to my recording chirps then flies off in-between condo buildings.

Recoding from my sony camcorder while holidaying in italy. The 7am and 7pm bells from the campanile (bell tower) in the medieval hilltop village of sorana, tuscany. I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. He does a couple of slight burnouts and you can hear the echo off the buildings. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas with one track duplication.
