The guest room i am staying in has a tile bathroom. Each time i take a shower, i hear this magnificent hum of the water heater clicking on and then turning off once the shower water is stopped. I was fortunate enough to hear it click on while i wasn't in the shower and captured about 30 seconds of it before it died. Infinite variation, impossible to replicate. At the end, as the water heater shuts down, it clicks down into the lowest ranges of the frequency spectrum; i didn't hear it until i listened to the recording but the couple of seconds of that are just as magical. Wish i would have left the recorder running!. Captured with a zoom h3-vr to ambix format at 96k24bit and bounced to stereo. Processing: 24db gain to all 4 clips, izotope spectral denoise to get rid of the air in the room and izotope ozone to enhance the bass signal a touch. Enjoy!.

I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. Layer this with metal impacts and sub sonic stings and you're all set. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. This is the first sound in a new pack called "in reality". This new pack was made to showcase the sounds made for stuff like music loops before they are distorted. This one is the original recording (with most static removed) of ceramic_crash. I simply hit a small ceramic bowl with a teaspoon 2 times.

The different creation steps. - creation of a square sound of 3s, with a frequency of 261,6hz- phaser effect with the following parameters :phases - 3original/modified - 130lfo frequency - 0,5hzstartup phase - 0 degdepth - 100return - 30%- fade-in effect between 0 and 0,40s- fade-out between 2,40 and 3,00s- modification of the sound's envelope to have a resonant effect.
