This is a bird - acrocephalus palustris which singing near the river and other birds screaming. It was recorded with olympus.

This is an inland tropical rain-forest setting. There are lots of insect sounds, birds, and the sound of the river (not very prominent) in the background. In broekhuizen, near arcen, lies the old ferry named grubbenvorst, dying on the river maas. It has been replaced by a newer one. The old one lies rotting away some hundred metres away from its old trajectory. It was very windy that day and the carcass of the ship was mildly rocking back and forth resulting in this beautiful creaking. The occasional thud is the boat hitting the construction it is lying in. This recording was made with a zoom h2n on 4 channel mode. It was then further edited and processed using reaper. It was recorded on april 3rd 2018. The zoom was protected by a rycote windshield and my own cap as an extra windbreaker.

I needed a sound effect of a body being thrown into a river for a play. This is a recording of me falling backwards into a pool. Splash_1 is a little louder, and there is some clipping. Splash_2 is a bit longer. Recorded using internal mics of a zoom h2n.

I recorded this on the river spey in scotland in june. You can hear an assortment of birds calling and squawking.
