Small rocks tumbling down a steep hill. We got in the van and drove down a rural road. On the side of that road, we found land with its topsoil removed, stripped also of its plants, but there were lots of rocks and a small cliff where rocks could tumble down. The location where this audio was recorded in arkansas is shown in a video of our family adventure. We found where whittington creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. Experimental recording idea i had in summer 2017, i buried two contact microphones half a foot deep in a rock beach and captured the noise ambience picked up in the rocks, as well as the tide coming over the microphones eventually. If you have any use of these recordings please forward my way i would love to see what can be done with these.

I recorded my raw kick drum with a shure vocal mic and then gave it a bass boost using audacity. Not too bad considering the equipment used. It is a kick drum 22" with an evans emad 2 head, a pillow inside, and a medium quality pdp drumset.

Heavy cinder block being dragged across asphalt a couple of times. I tried only sliding it over the ground when the bird was quiet, so you should be able to cut some sounds out and use. Otherwise i have single darker cinder block sounds in my profile.

I created this sound by taking two large cobblestone blocks and hit one against the other. Good for sound design. There is a little rattle on some of the heavier hits, it couldn't be helped since the block is so heavy.

Wav file 2 of the series. The sound of a live guitar, two pickups with one pickup turned off. Rapidly switching between the one that is off and the one that is on. You know you have heard this technique used before on all the 70's rock albums.

I recorded using a zoom h6 with an xy mic and foam screen and tripod. I sharpened a knife on a granite rock in front of the mic. I started sharpening the mic at a slow pace and then a fast pace. Recorded for a school project for a sfx library.

Another drum track i made for a friend to jam with using the the real drum sounds in fruityloops. Its a 6 bar loop comprising of a beat with hats and the with ride and back to the hats again. Originally it was programmed at 55 bpm but sounds better at 90 or so.

This sound was recorded december 11, 2013, using an alesis qs8, a roland 550w keyboard amp, the dm1 app for the ipad 2, an m-audio preamp, and multitrack recording software: sonar 6 studio.

Recorded and processed at 24bit 48khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

Recorded while on a walk in myneighborhood. Washed up on the street was amixture of sand, rocks, and loose gravel. In the background a bug can be heard that i wasunfortunately unable to edit out, but i hope its ok. (re-uploaded because i forgot to trim unwanted audio sections). -----.
