This is a recording of a friend of mine, i asked him to record this voice as a favour for a movie called 'the mad detective' - it was used as a layer in the city scape, the voice is advertising his service as a knife sharpener.

A sound rich recording of a swamp in illinois. Recorded on saturday june 25th, 2016 at 8:30am using two sennheiser me66 microphones going into a marantz pmd661. It was a very warm and humid when this recording was captured. . . Watch out for the loud woodpecker knocking in the first 10 seconds of this sound-scape. Enjoy.

Hitting radiator with fingers and scrapping over with a metallic object (car-key). Additionally amplified, notch-filter and accented subs. Results in a interesting sound scape. I've started to save my files in pcm format (instead of acm) because there was additionally quality loss. Recorded with a ultra cheap microphone unit of my mp3 player. Reduced noise.

This was meant to be a part of a track i was working on, but ended up getting caught up in something else. So, i decided to give this away to those of you who may have use for it. A recording of a typical busy, yet peaceful later afternoon sound-scape of a small midwestern town at 5:30pm on a weekday. This was recorded on tuesday may 24th, 2016 using the marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones. . . True stereo recording. You will hear the delightful sound of neighborhood kids playing a friendly - or sometimes not so friendly - game of wiffleball which adds to the reflective nature of this recording. The trilling bird calling towards the end of the recording is the beautiful little, rusty-capped chipping sparrow. These chipping sparrows converge on the midwest around this time and their calls can be mistaken as an insect. Enjoy this summer 2016 recording and maybe it will trigger wonderful, innocent memories of your own childhood.
