The sound is recorded on my iphone 12 pro using the dolby on app. There are unfortunately some minor unwanted sounds in the recording caused by things like someone moving in their seat. But it’s a nice ambient recording to use if you are able to edit around it. The recording was done at 7:30am.

A classic movie punch sound recreated by hitting a leather car seat with a cricket bat. Recorded using a rode k2 tube mic and a schoeps cmc6, driving the preamps hard and compressing the input, then heavily compressing a number of takes using analog-emulation plugins (including a fairchild 660) and running the mix through waves maxxbass. Then limiting some more and finally adding the swoosh of a riding crop and a non-linear reverb noise tail.

This is a recording of applause at the end of the concert in a large auditorium. The conductor and performers walk off and on stage for multiple bows throughout. This is recorded with a small field recorder from a seat in the audience. The file politely clips in parts as people near me clapped, but it's not noticeable. The cough in the beginning is easily cut out, the file loops really well, so you can just delete that section, and it will sound continuous.

Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. The exhaust had a rusted hole so it's not the original vespa-sound but more rough. Different styles of driving. Including starter and switching off. No sound editing was made, so maybe you like to filter away low frequencies (some little wind was behind the shield).

This is a recording of all in-flight announcements from a flight attendant, the first officer and captain during a flight from atlanta to new york on august 17, 2018, recorded directly from the headphone jack at my seat with a zoom h1n. Each clip is separated by a few seconds of silence. For authenticity, i left all the dc voltage spikes and electronic noise in place. Trying to start a 1983 volvo 245 after a stop at a gas station. First we hear the seatbelt warning signal after the driver turns the ignition on. The first start attempt fails. The two following attempts fail because the starter fails to engage with the flywheel, creating a very loud and unpleasant sound. There is some reverberation from the metal roof of the gas station. At 00:24, the driver remarks "he's doing it again!". The fourth attempt succeeds in starting the engine after a rather long cranking. We then drive off and we also hear some squeaking from the steering wheel. Throughout the recording we hear breathing noises from the driver (80 year old man, smoker). The recording was made in the front passanger seat with the window open, that's why there a very noticable difference between the left and right channel.
