Steps of somebody running downstairs in a rush. It looks like the person is running away from something. Recorded with a zoom h2 in pompeu fabra's univesity, barcelona.

Recorded on marantz pmd661 with rode ntg-2. While working on a project i saw a man operating a machine with tank-treads designed for lifting wheelchairs up and down stairs. I took him aside and asked if i could record the internal motors and servos working.

A one minute walk through an old factory building in reading, pa converted into an arts center called goggleworks (the factory made safety goggles among other things). Sounds include footsteps on creaky floor, elevator ride, climbing metal staircase. Recorded with tascam dr40.

An entire country mansion was covered over with scaffold and sheeting to keep the rain off. Visitors were allowed to climb up the (many) metal stairs to an observation platform. I asked the helpful guide to be quiet whilst i recorded this odd environment! he obliged. Zoom h1 recorder.

Do the harlem shake? why not the paint can shake?. Needed to replicate someone shaking a jerry can to check if there is fuel inside. Because someone didn't think to add water or something in it while they were on set filming the bloody thing. So the closest thing i could find to recreate the sound was an old paint can down stairs.

The sound is generated by self oscillating vcfs. I love sinus wave. I will sell my triple oscillator now. It does not have sinus wave! the randomness is generated to old fashion way. At first, the cars pass through in front of the school. And then, the people were talking around and pass by us when we went through the school-yard. We walked up the stairs and pass through the playground, we heard children playing basketball. We heard the balls hit the ground and the children screaming and shouting. . . On the third plant of an apartment building in a calm, suburbian district. There is only a little traffic resonating through one half opened window of the staircase. Once in a while you can here the neighbour's kids laughing or yelling. Almoste unhearable there may be an adult's voice or someone speaking on a television and some unspecific sounds coming from one of the flats. Plus one or two bird's singing can be heard from the trees nearby. It's juli 2021.

would you get the door? i have a package coming that needs to be signed-for. . (chuckle) "sure. ". (pause) "are you dressed?" heh. Of course he changed his tune, but i was already headed for the stairs. Yep. Sure did. I didn’t step outside, though. Figured it was safer to let ‘em in…. Here’s a quick tip: when you’re holding the little computer thingie and signing, your hands are occupied. The thing kept rejecting my signature. Like, five times. Also if the package is on the floor, how you pick it up calls for considered forethought. I'd already sidestepped, um, all of that. Since when do two guys deliver one package?.

There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.

Okay, about this small bibliothek there is a story to tell. Maybe a year ago my mother phoned me and asked if i could give her a hand because the door to her kitchen was squeaking. After work i went to her, went down to the cellar, took the can with the lubricating grease, went upstairs and made my mother happy. Then i putted the grease back and went upstairs. Whe sat down, drank a cup of coffee. Then i had to go to the toilet andnoticed that the toilet door was squeaking too. So i went down to the cellar again and took once again the grease. Now i thought, before i make the stairs again, i'll show if any other thing in my mothers house is squeaking. It was terrible! i swear, never in my entire life i've been in a house where so many different things were squeaking so impassionated. First off all i went back to my car and took my cheap dictaphone i use for work. And before i putted grease on those squeaking things i recorded them. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. So this are really historic sounds! none of them exist anymore in the real world!. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. But. . . When i heard through them later i was disappointed of the bad sound quality, cutting out higher ond lower frenquencies of the rich spectrum of those "neeeeiiiks" and "uiihggs". During winter holidays i processed them first with the audacity noise reduction - then with other tools. The result gives an unreal impression of the original sounding, they have now some "synthetic" touch - but makes them probably usable for funny films or comic-likeeffects. All the sounds in my "big squeek pack" where recorded in one afternoon and all in my mothers house. "tension-sounds" for example are nothing else than a junker (tin can? - sorry, my english) moved from one side of a wooden shelf to another, meanwhile my dictoaphone was laying in the junker. I don't ask to credit me - but if you make use of one of these sounds and create something funny with them, please let me know. . . So i can show it my mother too. Thank you.
