This was captured from last year. I thought my recorder wasn't working properly because when i checked the recording, i couldn't find the file. The time/date stamp was screwy. Lol anyway, i didn't see the couple but they were in the room right next to mine. I could literally hear them through the door. I thought at first that it was more than just a couple in the room but after listening several times i think it was just one couple. Like i said, i didn't see them. There is some conversation towards the end but nothing significant that needs to be censored or deleted. The guy was joking with the girl about being a "five star fuck". ;d lol throughout the recording, you might hear some "knocking" and creaking sounds. Sorry. That was me. I kept my hotel door propped open and i was peeking out every now and then to check on my recorder. Anyway, i wasn't able to get a recording this year but i was able to find this one (that i thought was lost) from last year, so enjoy! :d.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. No copyright infringement was intended. Credit for the music goes to the now late jerry goldsmith and also dennis mccarthy, who is still alive. I hope you like this audio demonstration, and find it useful when considering rigs like the holophone, or comparible 5. 1 surround sound microphones / rigs. Slowly the ship starts to spring to life. As you open your eyes, slow but huge bands of light sweeps across your cryogenic sleeping pod, as if being scanned. The pod starts to move while you're still in it, going through chambers filled with machinery and bleeping computer stations, until it stops in front of a huge closed door. Suddenly, your pod opens up as well as the door. Your eyes are greeted with the majestic sight of a gigantic control room with windows as far as the eyes can see, galaxies fills your field of view, a beautiful synergetic view of the grandeur of space and the hundreds of lights of the control room, welcoming you to a new adventure. 2 simple chords form the basis of a textural composition supplied with sound effects.
