Recorded inside of an abandoned building next to a boarded-up, old wooden exit door. Has a nice, subtle low hum, which is actually from a plane flying overhead. Also contains knocking sounds, which is most likely the door being a bit loose. Would be awesome for horror atmospheres. Feel free to use this sound for what ever you wish to. A recording of my sharpening a machete that we would use to chop drift wood for a beach fire at an island art residency. Between times, you can hear my being offered and resisting advice on how best to sharpen the blade, and my requesting a 'grown up gummie bear'. Also, my then eight-year-old updating me on their search for a pencil sharpener. I used the recording for a sound design commission and as a sort of white noise component of an uplifter for a pop song.

A diesel train flushing out the condensation from a particular valve, as i am told. Sounds like electricity sparking or something. It was quite loud, my gain was set extremely low, enough that i didn't pick up any of the road traffic with cars passing a few feet behind me. Waves coming onto the shore at dunwich in suffolk, uk. This is the north sea. There are people (and a dog) on the beach. The beach is a mixture of sand and stone, with stones being piled up further from the sea and soft sand with some stones at the edge of the water. The movement of stones can be heard, as can a young child and others. This was recorded with a sennheiser me66/k6 attached to a zoom h5. No editing.

I was messing around with some voice effects and somehow ended up with this growl. It sounds like a noise a dinosaur or dragon would make. Or like a clicker from "the last of us. "also, if you slow it down, it sounds like wood creaking. Let me know if it's useful for you, hope it makes for some good sound design with whatever you're doing. I'm excited to hear what you do with this sound if you do use it.

Modern noise - a quiet kitchen at night in an urban surrounding, and the constant sound of a big samsung fridge. Very distant tv sounds and voices. Recorded with a blue yeti on the floor (omnidirectional mode i think), cut to make it loop cleanly and boosted up a bit with goldwave. I kept it short (less than 2 minutes) to make it easier to manipulate in my video editor timelines. Hope someone finds it useful.

I was recording with my wireless mic and i had dropped it on the floor and got a sound similar to this one so i started to try to remake it and this is what i came up with. I love the sound on a summer night in our backyard. I woke up at 2:00 am, to minimize street noise, and recorded this. If you use this in a film, video game, would you please let me know? maybe post it in the comments, with a link to your use of the sound. It is so fun to see how people use these field recordings!!.

An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. Recorded with a zoom h1n, 24-bit, 48khz, stereo. Cleaned up a bit in izotope rx.

I decided to bring my wind chimes inside and recorded them with an mxl 910 microphone into my computer using a focusrite scarlett 18i20 interface with the gain turned up a bit. I then chopped 15 samples i liked from the entire recording and formatted them into a make noise morphagene reel containing 15 splices. I am very pleased with the results, especially when patched into clouds or using an eventide space pedal for example. Enjoy!.
